I am not sure either way on this.
Here is a question to ponder though:
What if I go 40-10, but 30 of my kills are subsequently revived by the other team. Have I done anything positive?

For overall performance it's Mass Destruction.
For enjoyment it has to be Devil's Perch or Leviathan
For infy it is Iron Gator
IMO Warlord and Ghost Town are overrated and bore some. Warlord was great before it turned into a claymore, nade spam city like Karkand. Ghost Town turns into a spawn camp fest 99% of the time.

I can press ALT+F4 faster than most anyone I know
and after playing in CAL I can certainly say I am no where near the best at anything within this game.

Nope, but those maps are awesome.
Here is a good page for those interested in how to line up the tv missiles on the SF choppers:
http://www.secretsofbattlefield.com/sfheli.php
You'll notice that the TV lines up below the gunner's box on both the Apache and the Hind. However you need to aim a little left of the target with the Hind as it is off center.
SF choppers with a good gunner/pilot can dominate. The Apache is fantastic at quick attacks, but cannot recover very fast if you get it tilted too far sidways while circling a point. The Hind is best used in the "Death Spin".

I cannot understand how there are so many people saying they love this rifle and yet all I see in game is G36E's. For that matter I see 9/10 MEC soldiers sporting the G36E/G3 instead of the AK. Sad times we live in.
I learned some basics to my game from this site, but I became better by playing in competitive matches and practicing with some very skilled players. Pub all you want, but you get better by playing the best.
I started flying with a Joy and could never line up ground targets. I was just ok at bombing, but could dogfight better. I tried the M&KB for a couple days and found that I was much more effective against the ground, but was getting shot down with more regularity.
I might have to try joy again and see if I can get a better mix of the two.

I'd go out on a limb and Jalalabad 16 player is the best infantry map in the game. I think it slightly edges out Mashtuur 16 player.Fearmesnipers wrote:

Here is a low-quality video (my work computer is not gamer-friendly) showing the BH destroying 2 APC's, a Mobile AA, and attempting to kill a tank.
It's pretty self-explanatory.
I agree with Cbass that the splash damage is what made the BH worth using.
Now get out there and bring the APC-Killing machine back to the skies!!!!!!!!!!!
.....or just leave it on the pad.

Nope we are talking about the APC.CaptainMike wrote:
APC: Armored Personnel Carrier - LAV-25, WZ 551, and BTR-90
I think you are talking about transport vehicles which the BH can destroy.
Test:
Go onto Ghost Town on a local server and get in the Blackhawk (SAS main). Aim a gun at the APC and go to town. You will see what a BH can do to an Armored Personnel Carrier.
A) The Blackhawk does NOT pwn anymore
B) It CAN kill an APC. I have done it on Gulf of Oman (immediately followed by, "What the? I just killed an APC with a BH gun?")
C) It does help at times when taking a flag to be able to jump in the guns and mow down infy at CLOSE range, but in the air the guns do nothing to infy.
D) I use it only for flying to the enemy main to steal jet/choppers.

X = Fun
SF = X
Vanilla = 1/2 (X-1)
I thought about throwing in an integral function, but my brain hurts.

Thanks again Chuy for all you do on this site!!! After using it for so long I made my first donation and encourage others to chip in a little bit too.
My name (the_anemone) was something I made up a long while back. To this day not many say it correctly. I keep getting called Eminem and asked if I am a rapper.
Nice! How long has it been since that server was rebooted? I noticed a bit of lagginess last week that was atypical. Maybe a fresh reboot would help.
We going to play again tonight? It was a good time last week and I'd be up for another round.
I am down for some action. I will drop by tonight.
I agree.Stealth42o wrote:
DO NOT upgrade to vista for at least 3 months (I recommend 6).
Remember XP release (Or any other OS), and the hundreds of problems, some small, other major. Hotfix after hotfix.
Well now (For the most part) XP runs well, however it took months and months to get it running right.
They have beta testers for Vista, however when released, you got millions of testers and the bugs, CTD's, BSOD, etc will be many. Let them work out all the bugs, hotfixes. then pick it up. You will be much happier.
Furthermore, you will have a better understanding of what version is hot and what's not.
My 2 cents.
However, they are now R(ed)SOD's and not BSOD's with Vista
I needed something better than the M4. Something that could get one hit kills.
Anywhere from 20-40 players is ideal for me. I do jump on the insanity that is 64 players now and again, but it does hurt the FPS.
I think what he is getting at is that in vanilla you can snipe someone with the M95 and not have them be "killed", but only "critically wounded" (able to be revived). I think in all SF maps that if you are hit with an M95 to the head you are not able to be revived.

That is a BF2 Pro server and not ranked. Thus no reason to have ranks.X-Ecuti0ner wrote:
was there a reason i couldnt see any ranks on your enemys?
That's right they turn into one team controlling the main island points while the other side goes sniper and stays on the outer islands. Good infy battles turn into sniper battles after about 3 minutes.TheBelcorwyn wrote:
EDIT* BTW, the reason Ghost Town maps (at least non-IO servers) often turn into spawn camp fests is due in large part to the Apache, and who's flying it. I don't see camp fests as often in IO servers.
I assume you are speaking of me the guy who also forces you to play Devil's PerchTheBelcorwyn wrote:
EDIT* I will give you the benefit of the doubt and I'll be joining your above mentioned server to see if I notice any significant difference from my already soundly established experience with the map (several of my clanmates, for some unfathomable reason , enjoy the map, too, and they often drag me into one with them).
Iron Gator is such a fun map if played correctly. However, if your team is full of idiots it turns into a spawn camping fest like 90% of Ghost Town rounds.
I was 262 lbs on October 31 and am now 213 lbs. Amazing what some diet and exercise can do. I am aiming to get down to around 190 which is a good weight for my height and body type.
Nope they are not allowed in SF.
I am an average sniper I guess.....
4,145/7,760 = 0.534149
This was probably higher until I took a liking to the SVD.

Twas a nice video, you have AK skills. Can you do the same with the M16? I'd like to see a vid of that.
RPK is my favorite gun in this game. However, I have been in a sniper mode and using the SVD as an assault rifle lately. AK's pwn and are the top guns in competition. I never use unlocks unless I run out of ammo and pick up the nearest kit.
I am in! Anyone know which teams went to Cal-M after last season?=]-[f= ig88 wrote:
