thats clearly a grammer mistake. LOL.
I see why you don't last long in servers. LOL. Its because not becuz. Learn to spell.
And your the one posting about it, noob. Don't want people saying how stupid you are don't post.

dont like it dont play there, thats why people get servers to run it the way they like to. "Freeloader Joe" doesn't hold alot of weight in our server. Like to throw around 4 letters words in chat, theres the door;banned. Like to discrimenate against other lifestyles or races, theres the door/banned. You want it your way, pay for your server._j5689_ wrote:

Here is my side of it as an admin. I don't care how many times you kill me or the rest of my clanmates. But we pay the money to rent a ranked server b/c we got tired of all the childish acts either in gameplay or chat. We have a very diverse group of guys in our clan, from all over (US, Mexico, Canada). Alot of our guys are prior service and we don't put up with alot of the bull$hit. Mainly it comes down to alot of language kicks/bans and b/c its a small server (16 person), b/c the server is for us not the rest of the free loaders we have alot of "kicking to make room for paying member". We have very little tolerance for bunny hopping and dolphin diving and b/c its in the next patch EA feels the same way. Not saying you can't jump, its the bunny hopping where you never really touch the ground. And everyone is quilty of alittle hopping from time to time. But before you start to flame admins, remember that its probably their money thats paying for the server. And if you really can't stand the admins cough up some money and get your own server, after playing admin your tolerance for stuff starts to get smaller and smaller. Most admins are trying to create a pleasurable gaming enviroment for the guys that are flipping the bill, not for the average joe stopping by.
As someone said ealier it comes down to who has the better chopper pilots and if the USA lose the flightdeck and the MEC have both helos and the ability to repair and rearm. It makes for a very frustrating map.
The first one I had was one of those "aah what the hell" shots, and having the dead guy on TS with me was even better b/c he was pissed. The gunner wasn't paying attention and went lawn dart.
Think I have a total of 4 or 5 cockpit kills and a handful more messing around waiting for the min. # of players to join.
But it is more satisfying then brining planes and helos down to earth with a tank. Have to love those low and slow moving bandits.

I feel your pain in the fact that some in game aspects are not realistic. It is all after a game, stock characters level the playing field for the wide range of gamers that play them. I had a friend who lost the use of his legs because of horse riding accident. I would hate to see his in game attributes suffer b/c of something in the real world that he has suffered enough for already.
There is enough whinning about how EA and Dice are just after the money b/w the many bugs and the release of the expansion. Having to rent a specific server to fully play the game. Introducing other outside profit making venues would just add more fuel to the fire IMO.
And on along the lines of cheats/hacks, having a "buddy" at said fitness gym to "enchance" someones recorded fitness report would only open the door to more debate.
With the firing range, again EA is too worldwide to involve this aspect, there would be too much red tape and alot of negative PR from certain sides to implement.
On a personal note-while I am not out of shape I am not in tip top shape. I would hate to compare my physical stats to say those of SEAL, Marine scout sniper, SAS, etc....dont think playing a round infantry vs infantry would notbe alot of fun for the majority of gameplayers if they had to play against a group of SEALS IMO.
And try to implement anything outside of the game for vechiles would be to unrealistic
I did like how in AA you could unlock classes by doing training missions. having a training mission to unlock the medic class before you could play it ingame would be interesting. Wouldn't mind seeing some sort of online training missions that could be used to gain extra eye candy while I am waiting for buddies to get online or when I am not feeling playing a map but have some time to kill. Like a sniper range, or a sniper concealment course. Maybe even have a tourney for stuff like that every year or something. But thats alot of coding and would really make the game huge.
All and all it is a game after all. And stock characters are the basis for balance.

I got my crew service ribbon and my distungished service ribbon both on a SF server, however I had not recieved the BF2 crew service ribbon, so while the graphic ingame was for the SF version, the one that shows up in my BFHQ is the BF2 one. not a big deal just something that happened to me.
As for the medals in SF i am not sure on that one, I'll let you know when I get past 250 hours. But the badges and ribbons work.

just earned mine today, medic and eng for flag defense and repairs. I want to say Sharqi Penn. was the map 16 people 32 map size. wasn't really going for it till I realized I was at 40+ teamwork points.
Getting to an enemy flag first helps alot. get one for the netural and 4 for the flip.

some good ideas with helping the engineer point system out.
You have to remember that you are dealing with immature kids on some of these games, so you can throw logic and common sense out the window. The decent ones are too far and few between.
I have gotten flash banged inside armor, gotten flashbanged on wake island from inside a blackhawk by some guy on the ground.
They got the the Iron gator map labeled wrong, the hangar bays names need to be switched.
newbs- are new guys, perfectly fine
noobs-are asshats

Its labelled backwards. The bow is the front, towards the flight deck spawn. Look at the Hanagar Bay labels and you will see. And its not a carrier but an amphious ship.
b/c some moderator is gonna do it anyways.

Got this unlock with the SF unlocks, not sure if I was supposed to get b/c I am b/w ranks.. but it shows up for some reason. But thats another topic. Wow, yes its kinda cheesy but truely an upgrade over the stock AT weapons. Can't believe I didn't get this thing earlier.
My theater ribbons just showed up in my BFHG, not sure if there is an ingame announcement for it?
You have to accomplish both the time requirement and the kills in the same round yes, for the ribbon.
the badge and ribbon are 2 different things.
the badge and ribbon are 2 different things.
Its probably one of those things, Just had one of those myself. walked up to a flag that was being turned by 4 guys and laid them all out with a pump action shotgun. I was like aaa thats what it feels like, they were probably throwing around "hacker". But after doing that its probably a combination of things.
But yeah there are cheaters out there, i would say that 99% of a ranked server population are probably legit, just find a couple of servers with active(playing) admins and you should be good.

or you could find a 16 slot.64 map size server. And run around capping flags. Thats how I got mine. FuShe pass was the map. its a huge map, big enough where you can ping pong flags back and forth. Also was the commander, think I walked out of that map with an almost 200 score with the x2.
Its tatical support badge--unlocked by 10 uses of tear/bang/flash grenades. Not hand grenades/assualt under carriage grenades (ie noob tube)(m203, etc....)
most of the kit/class badges are 11 kills, the grapping/zip lines are 10 deploys, and the night vision is time requirement. all for basic and all IAR.
Yeah I can uderstand the SF unlocks, but I know have another BF unlock without ranking up. on my stats page it shows that I have 6/7 unlocks without getting to first sgt. is this the norm? or is it a glitch in the feed, and I only unlocked it for SF and its showing up wrong?
for a frame of refrence, your eyes can only do 60fps. Your TV most likely is 60fps. but yeah 100fps is "ideal" for most FPS.
From the BFHG it looks like there is a combat badge for the classes, with a Special Forces attotaion on it (ie Combat Medic:Special Forces) And then grenade, night vision use, grappling/zip line use. If you search there is a link to another site that some Swiss guy put up that is alot more indepth. But from the SP version I love it.
The medals I can't make out, probably one for each nation (ie Navy Cross)

Distinguished Service Ribbon
Awarded to recognize the superior achievement of an individual in all aspects of unit command.
* IAR: 15 team points
* Global: 10h Total time as squad member
* Global: 10h Total time as squad leader
* Global: 10h Total time as commander
the IAR is the only teamwork points you need. Dont think there are squad points per say

You dont need the command, or first aid, supply, eng badges. Just all the combat, pistol, knife and basic vechiles, basic AA and ground Def.
I had similiar problems while getting some of my Vet. badges. Some where do to the private bug. However I did have to end up redoing 2 of them because they never appeared. Its the nature of the beast I quess with online servers exchanging info. Some of it will eventually get lost.
I agree its more about weapon balance and balanced gameplay then anything. I wrote a weapons mod for COD:UO based on ammo/gun charastics, while I thought it was topshelp realism, my clan mates and other regs on our server let me know otherwise.
Right now I am playing to win. Kinda stuck with the ribbons and what not. Don't have 200+ hours so I dont have to worry about medals quite yet. Silvered out most of the 15+ hour combat badges, the only ribbon that is eluding me at the momment is the "Crew Service".
But after I meet the time requirements for the medals and badges, aquiring those will be my main concern.

I think that EA should ban your CD key if your TK's outnumber your kills. There would have to be a mininium time requirement to go with this so a new guy whose first kill is a buddies b/c he doesn't know which part of the gun to aim with or what have you.
This would keep lunchboxes and smacktards to a mininium, add for the diehard Tk'sers they can lace EA pockets with more money.
I looked at my own stats 4k kills and 100 TK's rough maths thats 2.5-3%. Its something that the honest player would never have to worry about, and make the gaming community a better place, and possibly put more $$ in EA.

AT is my least favorite, all the others are on par with each other.
I'll say that while earning my vet. Eng and repair badge. I have a new respect for the engineer. Its a really fun class to play during the right maps. Karkand espically.
I find it funny thought when placing mines at tanks, that the driver will often get out of the tank. Just like to thank all those guys for the free ride.

From my limited knowledge of how it works.
A) you need to have meet the global requirements before trying to get the IAR goals. ie, you have to have 50 knife kills then you have to get 7 IAR.
B) If you do a search, there have been other posts regarding the release of the expansion and updates from the EA game server.
C) the UBAR is correct with the veteran badges and would imagine they are with the expert
D) recently while playing in the early morning, I have noticed that the account servers have been glitchy. Either b/c of "B" above or b/c its just the nature of the beast with an online account game. I have been demoted twice in the past week back to private with no badges, unlocks, global score etc.
Some of these may be causing you your pain. Hope that helps.

So the guys at EA sould make a "airstrike" / "airsupport" function of some kind...
Punkbuster for me, that why I would know if I really do suck at this game or if its something else.
I have trouble crossing the street in most maps with air power on it, much less stand around and deploy something. But I do think that something needs to be done to slow down air power.
Imo having the planes actually have to land and spend time reloading and having choppers only able to carry their intial payload and having to go back to get more. As an infantry I have to hug a supply crate for quite the while to go from empty to full, planes can do it at just by buzzing the airfield at mach 2.
I spend most of my time in other servers, don't have a home yet for BF2. Basing this off the lunchboxes in the game that are just worried about there K/D ratio and not clan matches where the one side is actually working with each other.

I think the weapons are fine. After all its a game. In real life any kind of gunfire and I am going the other way, here i'll ran at you with a knife regards of whats in your hand.
on a side note, I would like to see my guns more powerful and everyone else can have bent barrels LOL

IMO Some of the accidental vechile TK's could be solved by giving credit where credit is due. Some of the times when I am driving around and the vechile explodes my passengers are teamkilled by me instead of the enemy who shot us.
Turning off Freindly Fire off would solve alot of problems, but would like to see how the immature players exploit. Yeah it would ruin the realism but, I have plenty of BF2 stories that do that already(ie putting 3 shots point blank in his melon with the eng. stock shotgun just to have the guy turn around and 1 shot me). Turning off FF would also help with the craptastic AA missles.
I like to clean up my work area when I leave an area both with sniping and mines. Grenades to take out mines the claymores and picking the mines back up. But its obvious my train of thought is the minority in how BF2 should be.

Sniping from the hill behind the UAV trailer ,on Wake, for the MEC. is a good way to keep an eye on your air assest and defend the flag at the same time.
Went Navy, 6 years.
nice guide, had 3 helo kills once on a Wake map with the cannon, but they were 10 feet off the ground. And the cobras didn't pay me much mind for some reason?? Too bad that isn't the norm. LOL
Go to Sharqi Pen. map. Snipers and campers gallore on that map. Thats where i got my vet knife badge.
I also have had to redo a couple of my badges lately, so join the club. Yeah it sucks but it happens.

Just picked up my vet knife badge in Sharqi, so many snipers on the mountains by the MEC Outskirt spawn. Even managed to get a few extra. Really hate not really helping my side but???? Gotta do what you gotta do.
- The Squad Leader will also be equiped with a binoculars so he can spot vehicles and infantry from a greater distance then just stairing through his ironsites.
I like that. If it could be worked into an unlock through Squad Leader hours or Teamwork points instead of something just given. Think that would help promote teamwork.

didn't think of the body heat thing, just frustrated after finding a good sniping spot only to have arty dropped on me before i can fire a shot.
IMO, i think that a prone non-moving sniper should not show up on the UAV or commander scan, I mean he is in a guilly(sp?) suit after all.
