i got bored.... then figured out how to keep resetting the timer
I get it looking at lighter colours, such as the sky for any period of time
get Two Worlds... if the accesibility reasons are the ones im thinking of...you will have no problem getting it... its a great game, starting to get addicted to it myself tbh.
PSU. Wattage doesnt mean that it will definitely run the stuff... If its an unbranded 350w, its unlikely it has the juice to run the new gear.
When you say old stuff...did you upgrade CPU and motherboard, what about hard drives?
If those stayed the same, then it could very well be one of those.

Yeah that would be the case if Microsoft didnt give the 360 players a built in aimbot[PTG]shogun wrote:

idk any others becasue the rest are smart enough to realise that the 360 will get pwnt by PC
and the pc players motion blur which makes it much harder..
my 8800 GTS KO runs at like 60-70c idle with the side of my case on, and the fan on 60%. Download Rivatuner, and set the fan speed to 100%, will reduce temps on the card by about 10-15c.
I want one.
8800 Ultra = waste of money...its just an overclocked 8800GTX... no different architecture, only reason anyone should buy it, is for e-peen reasons only!
In regards to DX10 in xp, some coders are in the process of making it possible to do so by emulation i think...which means DX10 for XP...but a stupidly unplayable FPS

Just remember not to panic when you stall. Everyone does it, even people who have been driving a while
As for myself, i practiced by putting the handbrake on, and putting the car in first. I then raised the clutch until i felt the car wanting to move (was in a diesel, probably easier to do than in a petrol)
Thats how i learned where the "bite" of my car is and got used to it..
As for the hill starts, when youre learning, just give it some more gas to get going, again, find somewhere out of the way and practise
After a while, as others have said it becomes second nature, imo a lot of it is about confidence

sure you set up the watercooling right?
If you can download it from steam and it should work
i just watched a vid of the beta MP and it looks the exact same has halo 2...
You dont need Vista. There is two versions of the demo, one is DX9 for XP users, the other being DX10, the first official DX10 demo, which obviously runs on vista.
I play it on XP, and i have to say, although its a port and it seems to be very early days...this demo kicks ass! Lags a bit when things get manic, but even when things to get hectic, it still isn't unplayable (i have a high end system though)
Anyone who can, should definitely give this a go, and keep in mind its an early version (as they still have the xbox controlls on it for action instructions..)
There is also a stress test on it so you can fiddle with the settings untill you get a nice avg framerate.
Few Screens:
They dont do the graphics any justice unfortunately...

dump the 7300...mate has it and its awful
6420 is good...4mb cache instead of the 6400's 2mb cache.. will clock nice too, though if you know how to overclock, could save some cash and get a 6320 and overclock it, and put the rest towards a new graphics card
you will have to make sure that when you get that motherboard, that you disable the on-board video cause it may create problems

got any more of these kind of things? I like doing them
ATi cards arent out till may, today was just a conference that amd/ati held about the R600's. 8800 is the best card out at the moment. 640mb+ models are only for higher resolutions, 320mbs perform better on lower resolutions than the 640 ones.

This is probably the worst game EVER...
Bad graphics, Bad Aimingsystem, Bad physics, Hard-to-learn controls and Bad AI... ok it might be super-duper realistic, but that doesn't make it fun in any way with all the other bugs and bad things... i just feel sorry for those who made it
on a 3ghz c2d and a 8800GTS superclocked, the demo of ArmA runs at like 30fps on all LOW. If there was an award for worst coded game ever, this would win
The screenshot is apparently pre-rendered, so the game may not look like that...the smoke looks fake also..
Reading on another forum that the screenshot was pre-rendered, so only relaying info!

not possible to delete reg keys, uninstall then reinstall apps? I did it with winrar ages ago to get that 30 day trial over message to stfu
If you want to take away some of the CPU bottleneck, try making ALL of the settings on high in the graphics control panel, it took some strain off of my cpu when it was at 1.86 (still fast, its a conroe) but now at 3.01 overclocked, its lightning.
Overclock the CPU with an aftermarket cooler, and max the graphics out to take strain off of the CPU a bit more

Save up extra and get 8800GTS.
It will last longer, do better, look nicer, and wont cry on DX10 like 8600 is likely to
Edit: those 3d mark scores arent good really. I get 15k with an E6300 & 8800GTS on 3d 05...theyre using a quad core for it...
www.overclockers.co.uk sell 8600's if you want one

Okay thanks all, will get some new thermal paste and a new heatsink asap. Seems to be throtteling under heavy load (as it hits 80c 0.0)
I know i have the heat sink installed properly, but when i put it on with my new motherboard i did not use more thermal paste as it still had some on it from when installed on my previous motherboard.
Booo gutta spend more money now:(
Well thanks for helping me

My guess is it will perform crap unless you have an ageia card
On 3d05? :SBertster7 wrote:
That's like my system and you're getting the same results at stock I get overclocked, and I was very pleased with my results.
I guess but at 60c idle i dont want to overclock it like i used to
Hey all, took delivery of my Gigabyte DS3 motherboard, and eVGA 8800GTS KO ACS3 gpu
Im a very happy chappy at the moment to say the least!
I ran 3d mark 05, execting 12k+... but i only got just over 10k, this is with the following set up:
C2D E6300 @ Stock (Seems to be running v hot, 60c idle.. this is why its at stock)
2gb crucial ballistix @ 667mhz
8800GTS KO @ stock (580core, 850memory)
Is that score about right? Also, using the latest nvidia drivers (im on XP)
Thanks in advance

Slipknot - Generally anything.
Volume on max + EQ all on max = very loud = pissed off neighbours = winnar.
I hated our old neighbours.
Edit: Six Feet Under - Snakes
Death metal, funny song, will piss em off good, for sure

49c idle is a good temp for 8800GTS mate, as far as i know thats actually quite a bit cooler than a lot of other peoples cards are idle at.

Could you give me a link to the one where you dl it from. Maybe it was just the download.
edit: make sure you dont change the directory of where it installs to (unless you did during bf2 install!)
Everest is the best for checking temps. Also, ive read that the 8800GTS run hot, 66c, is that idle or full load? I think a lot of people are running those cards at about 60c idle.. which isnt anywhere near hot for a card. If it approaches 90-100c full load i personally would invest in a new case with better cooling
Thats weird, that hasnt happened with me yet, well i guess as long as its sorted now its all good
9800pro ftw.
Burnt it out overclocking.... coulda cooked a full english breakfast on the heat that thing made
I miss it

when you installed sandbox it should have created a shortcut on your desktop that goes straight to sandbox. are you using that? make sure youre actually using the BF2 normal shortcut.
You can download an installer, which does it all for you and creates a desktop shortcut to it so the sandbox loads up. You then can load a single player game or join a multiplayer game as normal
To create, you can hold Q, then right click "Spotted" and theres a small list. For a bigger, much bigger in fact, list, hold tab and right click, then click or right click on what you want to spawn, and it will spawn where you aimed at when you clicked! Very simple to do.
