Yes, there are 6 places to look for topics on Battlefield 2, and thats just this forum. You then have various other forums, as well as the countless sites that also offer support.

Because of this, I am trying to make a list of all good places of the internet so that finding the topic you wanted becomes that much easier.....

Seen a few of these topics...but this is a very good, comprehensive list.

Since I converted a lot of the guides onto the wiki a few months back, here are some thoughts depending on how useful and wide ranged you want it to be

- The "manually uninstalling BF2" that you have linked is actually not complete. According to liquidator, it was copied from EA's website and holds no information on removing SF and AF - so when you try to reinstall it buggers it up. I had this very problem, so I knew of it and added it to the wiki version of the guide:

- A lot of vehicle guides are missing, including Sarges dogfighting, Zens aviator guide, LGM guide, definitive guide to armour, transport guide, whoring the A10, AA guide, BF awareness.

Can anyone help me...I don't know much about computers and when playing bf2 I get a lot of kicking from servers say that I have a high ping of ...... My question is this ' what the hell is a PING and how do I reduce it or whatever to play bf2.

A ping is the time taken for the information to be sent from your computer to the BF2 server.

- the lower the ping, the better it is- because you receieve the most up to date information.

However, ping can be affected by lots of things- make sure you are not downloading files whilst gaming, or that you, or other people on your network are using high internet usage applications

You can also try updating punkbuster manually, and testing for virus' and 'ware

Yea, and if you are in the UK and trying to play on Austrailian servers, you will have a high ping (approx 200-300) as the packets need to travel around the world.
Playing on a UK server (from in the UK) usually means around about 30-70ping depending on where you are.
Generally, its best to stay on servers that are within your continent, i.e. Europe/America/Asia/Australasia etc.
