no problems, real life comes first.
if you could run cpuz, go to the about tab, hit registers dump button and save the text file it generates somewhere. copy and paste the information from the text file between [ code] [ /code] i may be able to help, i have the same motherboard.
the bios is not dependant on the operating system, the newest version is 1302beta, it's worked fine for me since last year. motherboard drivers for this motherboard and vista can be found here for 32 bit and 64 bit. however, motherboard drivers do not control memory speed, your bios does.
this motherboard will not allow 4 sticks of ram to run at 400mhz with 1t command rate, yours has 2 sticks so that isn't the problem, since you don't know what 1t or 2t command rate is, you are more than likely using 2t.

I guess this mobo is not compatible with vista. It seems to work fine only one problem... I cannot change my ram speed from 333mhz to 400mhz. If anyone here knows how I can do this other than installing XP, please let me know!!!
I just don't undersdtand why they couldn't patch this but anyway... any ideas would be coool!
Thanks!
Have you ever oc'd it to the point that it wouldn't boot past post? Radically altered any voltage setting/bus frequency, even if you put it back? If yes, try a fresh install of windows/or try taking the battery out of your cmos and jumper resetting it back to default, then replacing the battery, with a new one if possible.[69th_GFH]GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

1)12V voltage drops from 12.034V to 11.77V this happened with my old psu also, normal vdrop? how big is ur vdrop when running full loaded?
2)my comp freezes for about 30 seconds in almost every 10 minutes. sometimes works well many hours. (randomly)
3)about once or twice in a hour my gfx card crashes after multicolour stribes on screen and speakers screaming (lol ) but after two minutes it starts working after catalyst driver's vpu recovery reboots gfx card.
4)very randomly I get BSOD (blue screen awwwww) at same time my speakers start screaming and my comp reboots completely (this can happen from 0 to 10 times in a day)
5)just got a new issue. after launching gpu stressing program my screen gets full of artifacs and colours get screwed up and here comes mr BSOD and my comp booted. rarely (about once in a month)
so any thoughts about wtf is wrong would be great. problems when stock speeds and when OCed so no change. I have latest drivers/bios and used both default and custom bios settings.
You could also try flashing to the newest bios, or try force flashing it to the a8n-sli premium 1302 beta bios.
Always keep an eye on that northbridge fan, that board is notorious for northbridge problems/fan failing. I have the premium version and have had to do a fresh windows install after pushing an overclock to far.
Are you positive your RAM is timed and volted correctly?
*edit* For what it's worth, i've always had the ez-plug installed and it's never given me an issue.

You know at first, I thought "I might actually do this". I read the first lot of paragraphs. Very professional. Well done.
Then I got to the list of "bug fixes". Some of it I agree with (medpack sounds, hitboxes) however, a lot of that is just pure whining from an inexperienced players perspective. Seeing as all your references are to karkand, that proves my point: and points below.
- Favourite list is divided up into "favourite servers" and servers you have visited, i.e. "history". Thats useful actually. The button is to change it from a "one time visited server" to a favourite. This gives you control over what should and shouldnt be a favourite.
- Servers plagued by baseraping? Oh, ok. We will sit back in the nearest flag and wait for you to come out of your "untouchable uncap base". Seriously, there is nothing wrong with it. Implying people should take damage for shooting at people in uncaps? Oh ok. Take these examples:
--- A spec ops goes in to destroy some assets. He comes under fire. He shoots back and takes damage.
--- An AA site in an uncap engages a jet/heli outside of the uncap. The heli/jet cannot return fire for they will take damage otherwise.
---Operation Harvest features a USMC uncap base whilst the MEC dont have one. So the above two situation will occur for the US uncap, but for the MEC main - go right ahead, no worries.
Is that really fair???
Think that one through again please.
- If you cannot work out the next map by its picture, then you really havent spent much time in this game - or outside of karkand. Although having a [nextmap] would be useful for a "friendly environment" I have to admit.
- There is nothing wrong with attacking uncaps. Why the hell do you think they are loaded with defense and vehicles?
- No planting C4 and claymores in CP areas? Are you mad? They are (primarily) a defensive weapon and now you want them to be restricted in their defensive ability?
- Bunny hoppers/dolphin divers are a part of every game ever made. I dont do it a lot, however I do on occasions. And look at the "fix" they put in place for all of you whiners in BF2. Delayed shooting. Even when falling off a small height to the ground. Thanks a bunch.
- Vehicle drops are useless? Have you ever played outside of karkfuck? Requesting vehicle drops on certain maps is a strategy in itself. If I had to play Great Wall without them Id give up this game in an instant.
Being shot down in a jet (although bailing out) in the remotest part of Daqing and having to walk back is not fun. Call in a vehicle. Thanks. Move on.
- Preventing artillery repair/slowing it down from supply crates. Why?? And losing less health just because you are prone is not right. If that were the case, if an arty strike came in - every medic would instantly go prone and spam medpacks beneath them. Nobody would ever get killed. If you are in the proximity of a shell, you should be killed outright or take severe damage - which should not be dependant upon your posture.
- Jets are too fast eh? Seen the result of that in Armoured Fury? AA is absolutly dominant against all but the very best pilots. And even then they get shot down a good few times. That is imbalance.
- The bit about AA sites being blocked by trees - that makes them tactical. If they were completely open, where would a chopper hide to avoid AA lock? Do you really expect a chopper to attack an AA site on its "open side to give the AA user a chance"???
- For all the bug fixes I cant believe you havent even mentioned the consistent LGM glitches. That shows your experience in the game.
- Not even a mention of the J10 overpower / F35 imbalance or the completely retarded situation on Wake where 32players spawn on a carrier and there is only enough transport capacity for 10 players.
Look at this topic for better, more complete, practical and WANTED changes to the game from experienced perspective, taken from the members of this forum: http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=61132
As far as AA blocked by trees? If you want unblocked/unrestricted AA go play Ghost Town and try to fly a helo when the other team has all 3 middle flags. you'll have 3-4 Stingers and a pair of Tunguska/Linebackers pointed at you along with a half dozen or more AT soldiers, have fun staying airborne.

If by Middle East Islam do you mean Osman Sayed's newly formed Ottoman Empire in the 13th Century? What would have become of the America's had it been the Ottoman's that came here instead of the French/Spanish/Dutch that came here around that era? Who is to say what would become of them with 800 years of different history to mold them. Had they come to America instead of fighting the Byzantine Empire of Eastern Europe, they might have had a different outcome on the Americas. They would have no doubt warred with the Indians which would have changed that aspect of history. Some changes in Europe would have been never having formed the House of St. George (under Byzantine rule) and Vlad Tepish would not have come to be known as the Son of the Dragon (Dracula).=OBS= EstebanRey wrote:
America is a essentially a mish-mash of inherited European cultures and new cultures that have derived from these. Before, any "Patriots" get at me and tell me how different to us you are and how your colonial past has no relevance to today's America, let me say that all countries are like this. Yours just happens to be younger than most. For example, I live in England but I know that the English language is a mish mash of Greek, French, Latin and Germanic languages.
America is mostly Christian because Britain was when it colonised it. Sorry to offend religious types but common sense tells you that your religion is dictated by the country/family you come from.
With that in mind, I wonder what the World climate today would be like if the Middle East had have colonised America and it was a Muslim country today. Now, if you presume that they would have made all the same advances as the Europeans-turned Americans over the same time and became as strong financially what do you think the current World issues would be?
Some form of terrorism would still exist. The oppressed would surely be lashing out at the oppressors. Most heros and demigods are born this way, the will of the oppressed or downtrodden to not be that way.=OBS= EstebanRey wrote:
This isn't strictly a "would the USA be invading Iraq if they were a Muslim country" question but in terms of everything. It's quite an interesting thought when you think about it.
Personally, I think that Muslim terrorism wouldn't exist but Christian terrorism might. I'm not saying, all Islamic terrorists are jealous of Christian USA's wealth but the fact that these so called problem countries in the Middle East are poor and can't dictate World politics like the USA does play a big part. I think if America was a Muslim country and it helped the Middle East the same way as it does Israel (which almost certainly wouldn't exist either) today, I can't see any of them being as volatile as they are today.
Purely hypothetical but interesting none-the-less.

Well I'm just throwing ideas out because i have the same card/motherboard chipset and it used to do that, I reformatted and it hasn't done it since. However. Before this card I had an xfi extreme music. I used the latest drivers for that xmusic card plus the older openal w/eax installer from creative's site. That card worked great on xfi high, never a problem in Windows or bf2. I got the new card installed and bf2 sounds went crazy, similar to yours, mine would play music in the warlord palace for no apparent reason.
Okay back on topic. If your motherboard has on board sound, the nvidia chipset driver package includes nvidia's version of openal32.dll which is different from creative's version ((conflict?)also assuming you had previously used the onboard sound).
Look in c: /windows/system32
OpenAl32.dll (version 6.14.357.9)
wrap_oal.dll (version 1.1.4.0)
those two above are the versions i am using and haven't had a problem yet on xfi high. i don't know what the versions were when i had the problem (mouse over the file to see version).
Creative has a new package with newer versions located here. This package is newer than the openal installer I used previously for my xfi xtreme music.
This may be irrelevant, but you can also try updating directx via microsoft's dxwebsetup utility.
Maybe some of this will help.

try some defrag it's mad fun.
Agreeable for the most part and I will use Quake 3 ctf and/or Q3 Urban Terror ctf as an example. It's team based however here is a scenario.
It's a 4v4 (or whatever) match, Team A has good shooters (accurate) but they all lack footwork. Team B has a few good (accurate) shooters and 1 or 2 people who can strafe very well ( by that I mean fast in a half, single or two beat strafe (like 1200 ups or better fast)). Team A will have a struggle keeping Team B from getting caps. Team B is the minority in most cases on Public servers.
The majority of people want to have a fun time which does not involve having the floor mopped with them. They don't want to have to spend a ton of time practicing just to get a frag, and don't want to go 0-fer in caps all the time. This introduces games having limits on one single player imposed. This way the majority of the paying for the game too people can have a good time.
I used to play allot on a CoD:UO realism s/d server, not because of the mod, but because of it's all custom map rotation. "No grenades thrown in the first 15 seconds of the round/no bunny hopping to avoid fire/weapon limits per round and no round after round whoring of certain limited weapons (Springfield) or kick/ban." They were all terrific people and fun and they loved to game but, they all lacked good coordination/fast aiming and shooting skill. The dumbed down rules made it possible for them to all play and have fun casually. which is all that the majority of the gaming public wants to have.
Hell, you're from up north Europe, I'm sure you know what darts is. would you as a beginner want to constantly play pubs against Per Skau or Ray van Barneveld. This is why soft tips became popular, huge targets, easy to score big and have the same fun as the "pros".
Efficient players, like you Sarge (especially in the jet) are the minority and unfortunately lose out most of the time.
I hope Quake Wars and/or Crysis are not bound by these limitations. It is after all, the numbers in the sales department that will determine this.
