what do I do?

Unfortunatly you are going to have to find one either second hand or a store with a back supply. Try your price grabbers and froogle to see if you get lucky. Just google the part numbers and maybe you will get a hit some where. Otherwise, beg someone here to sell you thiers so they can upgrade to a 2900 or 8800.

The X1950XTX is on a par with the 7950GX2, in performance and cost. 2x 7950GX2s in SLI are faster than a single GTX.

You could right click on the desktop, go to properties, go to the settings tab and see what it says in the box labelled display. That's probably easiest and most universal.

Or you could look in device manager, or something.

A friend of mine just bought 2 8500's off ebay for £100.
They look way better than my 7900GT, even though mine has faster speeds.
They are DDR2 and mine is GDDR3.

I'd look on ebay, you might find a bargain.

I just found out that the 8600 GT 256mb I was planning to buy has slightly slower RAM and the core speed is about 30 mhz slower as well than my current 7600? Searched on other sites as well and came up with the same results? I'm being stupid here or what?
