I'm still unsure whether to get this on sexbox or PC. I rarely use this PC nowadays, but would <3 to play with the EU fellas again
The other thing is, with every other game coming out at a similar time, I doubt I will be getting BF3 for a good few months. Gears 3 and F1 2011 on the sexbox take priority.
Sure, people die fairly easily and there's regenerating health, I never expected them to completely alienating the newer audience. But still looks like a big step back towards the right direction.

world of WARcraft.... I cringed when I heard it called a "online war game" on the radio here.. the 'expert' they had called in (young guy who apparently game himself) just went "umm.... well...." could pretty much hear his toughts: "should I bother explaining to people who have no idea about anything related to games? nah.."Doctor Strangelove wrote:

They did conclude that even thou it has been researched thousands of times, games (and other media) can not change a person's fundamental views on human life and killing.

Breivik aparently played WoW quite a lot.... Got into mw2 several months after he started planning. In his diary he said he never was a fan of fps games untill then.
A couple are yes, for a short while... "in respect"... since apparently cod and wow was "used in Oslo massacre"SEREMAKER wrote:
I just read an article and I just want to know from our fellow Norway brothers.
Are there retailers that are pulling such games as COD and W.O.W. ?
as I'm not in any clan atm (even thou some insist I should use [PCGC] tag) I plan to use [BF2s] in bf3
Thou there is a very slight possibillity I might not get the game, will have to wait and see what my rl status is when the game comes out... (also, I really hope my pc can handle it... should be able to run it on low settings.)

I read about 1 guy who killed twice, he's spent pretty much his entire life in Ila now.Jenspm wrote:
As for repeat offenders, I can't really recall any repeat murder cases (Varegg?), but I'd assume that you've proven a failure to rehabilitate, so the punishment will be quite a lot harsher the second time 'round.

prison guards: "threats? what threats?"

Well, no idea if there will be bf3 server for bf2s eu, but I'm pretty sure pcgc (linky) will be geting a server...
Can probably use my influence there to make sure the server and the ts3 server can be used by bf2s eu guys... If some more of the server admin team register and post a bit there from time to time I can prolly make it so some of em can get admin to the server, at least peacekeeper rights.

Oh yes, because an army of well trained soldiers using high tech bombs and drones and modern military power to slowly fight against not as well trained people armed with AKs and RPGs by most of the time just pushing a button, and a bunch of soldiers where most are fresh recruits storming a heavily fortified beach with no cover and no real armor or air support and the battle hardened enemy soldiers hiding in bunkers and spraying them down with machineguns and cannons are expected to have the same amount of casualties.lowing wrote:
Not as many have lost their lives in 8 years on the war of terror than have lost their lives storming the beaches of Normandy in one day.
Am I the only one who get sad when reading lowing's posts? I just can't help myself feeling pity for all the utterly ignorant people of the world
What made them like this? Brainwashing? Brain damage? Crap schools? Bad parenting? Is it genetical? Every time I see someone like this I just want to find out the reason, cause if there's a reason there could be a way to prevent that more will turn that way.

sigh... I said I was going to ignore you, but I got to ask... Do you only read the first 3 words of each sentence?
Blowing oneself up and killing people have nothing to do with Islam either. Just thought I'd throw that out there.lowing wrote:

I see.
You seem to be completely ignorant of the history of the Middle-east and Islam in general. But I'll choose not to try and educate you and instead just ignore you and hope you shut up soon.
I don't care if he i Christian or not or if he claims he's protecting "European Chritianity". IF he is Christian he follow his own twisted version of his religion. Just like Islamic extremists.

It's not a max sentence. It's a minimum sentence. He'll be in prison for 21 years, and then he'll be reevaluated every 5 years. With this guy, I can't see him being deemed to be ready to enter society again, and he himself expects to be in prison for life.lowing wrote:

In theory, based on the law.
You see, we have laws here. And believe it or not, but we actually follow those laws.
yea, watched it on tv. NRK cut it halfway through, wtf?
But TV2 stayed with it to the end.

Should find and post a picture where everyone lift their roses in the air.

I think we would have reacted pretty much the same no matter who was behind it.

Only the ones where there is a fairly large hope that they can be rehabed end up in open prisons.
To give you some of the history of Ila prison... It's first name was Grini... Built by the germans during WW2.
After the war, that is where they put the norwegian traitors.
