It is probably the best military simulator out there and it’s one of the hottest games this year. I played MW1 as well but I didn’t really like it as I’m generally more the fantasy RPG kind of person – Dragon Age Origins etc .and not so much into first person shooters.

Well, lets see how he does in the bass fishing tournaments or the polo matches before we decide how long he should stay in prison. He might do pretty good.Shocking wrote:

Yea, I probably should have posted the whole thing:Jenspm wrote:

I have little doubt that he was in "MW2 mode" while shooting on Utøya.. But it seems he only first got into fps after he started planning it all.I just bought Modern Warfare 2, the game. I see MW2 more as a part of my training-simulation than anything else. I’ve still learned to love it though and especially the multiplayer part is amazing. You can more or less completely simulate actual operations.
He's not going to end up on that island.... I would guess he'll end up in Ila prison.lowing wrote:

Only the ones where there is a fairly large hope that they can be rehabed end up in open prisons.
To give you some of the history of Ila prison... It's first name was Grini... Built by the germans during WW2.
After the war, that is where they put the norwegian traitors.

If you ever get into a debate with someone about video games and violence, make sure you emphasise this part.Hallvard wrote:

Which makes you think .. who else knew of his intent?jord wrote:

Norway is a wealthy country and the U.S. needs the money so you they could pay us to keep him in prison here.Shocking wrote:

Has anyone pointed out that he claims to be a follower of the knights templar yet?
Oh and the attacks were because he disagreed with immigration, particularly by muslims?

Fuck Israel
On the plus side they have this fruitloop in custody and can study him.
Just how people arrive at the decision to commit mass murder has generally been a mystery, and he's apparently cooperating which is very unusual for a psycopath.

He wanted to be caught....
He's going to have an open sort of press conference tomorrow... Lots of attention and according to him: A perfect place to speak out about muslims and stuff....

A press conference for a criminal? Stay class Norway.
Giving him a platform would be a huge mistake, every crazy in the world would go on a killing spree to achieve that.
Fuck Israel
No way should this guy be given any opportunity to speak to the public. He should be studied sure, but allowing him to get his message heard and therefore pretty much succeed at what he set out to do by committing mass murder seems an obvious mistake.

Not a press conference, a prison hearing (ie, where it is decided how long he is to be detained during investigation. It is expected to be around 8 weeks-ish). Don't freak out, he's not exactly free after 8 weeks.
This hearing is always open unless it hinders investigation.
You know, transparency and that. This is nothing new or special.

I was gonna say I haven't seen anything about a press conference .. and considering my twitter news list i would have,Jenspm wrote:
