I, for one, am kinda glad you stopped the poll at 25, LOL.

I played EU last night. Today, nothing. Every one of my usual servers are empty. Every server, including my own, is telling me I do not have the booster packs installed, on every server. I played Smoke Screen late last night even. Today, nothing.
If you get gassed, and do not put on your mask, then you are exposed for the duration of the gas. However, if you put your mask on, then you begin to come out of the haze at the time you put your mask on. Not when the gas disapates.
Now, all I have left is 120 hours in a tank. Not sure if I can do nothing but whore a tank that long. May just move on to a new account now, LOL.
Now, we just need a couple hours as EU, a ccouple in a chopper, then 120 in a tank, LOL.
Exactly. Just a new feature put out by pbbans.com is all. Now, when a player is banned on one of their streaming servers, all streaming servers will see the ban. These bans may, or may not be on the server you are currently playing on. Just any server using the pbbans.com hub.geNius wrote:
It is NOT a bug. The same amount of hackers are being caught, but all servers streaming with PBBans show these server messages.
When ANY player is banned, ALL servers streaming to PBBans show a server message.
This is a recent addition to PBBans streaming service. Nothing has changed, aside from everyone sees when the player is banned now.
With the being said, the number of aimbot violations has really picked up as of late. We do not get many on our server, but we had four in the last few days. Maybe two in the previous three months.
Wow, some of the answers here are weak. You do not need a pedal to get distortion sound ffs. Nor do you need a $2500 set up to stick with playing guitar. What you have is fine, and is more than capable of producing great sound that will last a long time. Hell, I had junk for 10 years (Hondo strat with a Gorilla amp, anyone remember those?) You do not need anything else for now.
I have now been playing close to 20 years. Ya, I play Ibanez with Crate sound.
Bottem line, have fun. If you want that distortion sound you are looking for, the button is your key. Use it to select the overdrive channel (down position). The knobs on the left of that button are your overdrive settings, on on the right is your clean channel. The overdrive side, the gain is your key. Play with that, and you will start to hear what you are looking for. Start with the level all the way down, and gain all the way up. Strum a cord, or open E (top) string, and slowly turn up the level. (make sure the volumn is set to about 25% for starters.) Your owners manual will explain all controls in detail.
I have the exact same amp I carry with me and use to warm up with backstage. Myself, I have gain at 75%, level at 25%, selecter button to overdrive (down position) volumn at 50%, low at 100%, mid at 25%, and high at 75%. That is a good all around, middle of the road tone to goof around with. Sounds good with any Ibanez, or Jackson I have plugged in to it.
Keep in mind, the overdive channel will use all six settings, while the clean will only use the right four. Crate amps simply rock. I have the FW120 head, with two FW412 cabinets. Plus, the little FW15 for warming up, and an FW65 for at home. I am a crate junkie i guess.
If you need any further help with it, send me a PM. I will set you straight. Or at least point you in the right direction.
BTW, I would find a local music shop, and take lessons. They will challenge you to read music, and give you goals to accomplish every week. That will help give you direction, and keep you focused. Good luck bud.

It is a water cooler. The white is room temp. While the blue is cold.
Been playing all day, everything is uploading just fine. Nearly a different server every round as well. All golds uploaded, all points, all time, everyting. Some in my clan reported that EA's master server went down for a few hours early this morning. Maybe I just missed playing during that window.
I am guessing I will be down there four times this summer. I am a photographer, but mostly work in Michigan, norhtern Ohio, and Inidana. Have not been to Eldora in a few years. Hope to get there, and back to Knoxville this summer.BlackKoala wrote:

Well, when the EU and AF maps do pop up, we tend to lose about 60% of the population at that time. However, it will usually build back up before too long. Every member has the booster packs, and we usually have no less than 12-15 on every night.
Everyone keeps saying you will not find one, well, you just have to look is all. =SW= @ 216.246.109.155 does.

I always had fun in the EU server, but my ping was good so it had to be in the US. Then one day it was gone. A great EU server that was always populated when I was playing. Get a new EU server in the US, and I will be back.
Eh, =SW= runs all maps in the rotation. All maps with a rotation of air map, ground map, air map, ground map and so on. Overall, 23 maps in rotation, including Highway Tampa. I think Jalalabad and Karkand may be in the rotation twice just to keep the air map/ ground map rotation going. EU and AF maps are lumped together.
Then Thursdays, it is all SF maps.
216.246.109.155, or search for =SW= seasoned warriors
Right now, 32 slots. Fills up every evening (US time), server is in Chicago. Should be making a jump to 40 slots pretty soon. New clan, new server, about three months old. VOIP on, and public ventrilo.
Had a few BF2s tags in there a few days ago.

Looking over at BF2CC....... Well, my server is full.
I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years. I suck at GH3. There is a night and day difference, please do not base a chance on talent for guitar, on GH3.
If you are serious about seeing if you have a chance to play, there are decent start up kits for around $100.00, US. Or, find a friend that may let you goof around for a few days, and maybe show you a few cords. I played the first five years reading tab, and playing metal, then got myself in a slump. Decided to get serious, learn some jazz, and read music. World of difference now.
Again, there is no comparison in real guitar and GH3. I am much better playing GH3 with the controllor rather than the guitar. I really think it would be easier to play real guitar, and learn GH3, then it would be to master GH3, then try to learn real guitar.

Would be nice to see a Big 10 team play a game on a neutral field someday. Geez, Michigan beats Florida, in Florida. Illinois plays USC in CA. Ohio State plays LSU in LA. Indiana has to play OK State out west. Penn State beats Texas A&M in Texas. Big 10 has 10 teams bowl eligiable, and eight teams actually playing in bowl games. Not to bad I would say. Six of eight games are played at a clear disadvantage, while Wisconson and Michigan State were really the only neutral field games.
Ya, seems that the gold/ silver/ bronze medals are capped out at 255 as well.
Truth be known, it releases more CO2.
We raced at an indoor race last year with sprint cars. We never did get anything done. As soon as we fired the cars, and started racing, the CO2 meter would spike, and the fire department would shut us down.
Little known fact aboyt ethanol. It takes more of it, to produce the same power as gasoline. In our race cars, it takes twice as much as gasoline. Street cars are not as bad, but it still takes about 25% more to produce the same power as gasoline.
Bottem line, they produce the same amount of CO2. Yet, it takes more ethanol that gas, so the CO2 emissions are higher.
Spark also hit on a point. The ethanol is not as good on your engine. We have to add a top lube to our fuel to keep it from eating up out lines and fittings. We still have to change every fitting and line every year, the top lube just helps it last the season.

I lost a helmet on a parachute jump into Fort Stewart, GA one time. They dropped us, I looked down, and we were at least a mile from the drop zone. (Drop zone was an airfield, all lit up, rotating becan, the whole nine yeards. The dang Air Force still missed the DZ......)
I looked down, water everywhere. At night, asphalt roads, and a river will look alot alike, and they tell you, to take off your helmet, and drop it. Does it go splash, or thud? That will tell you what it is. So, I dropped it, and it went splash. OK, time to prepare for a water landing. No worries, I hit the water, and all went well. I spent the next two hours looking for my helmet and ruksack. I found the ruksack, but no helmet. (Darn, I was forced to wear a soft cap for 10 days in the summer heat of GA, LOL)
At any rate, when we get back, I got a new k-pot, and cover issued to me. However, they said they just changed the airborne SOP to say that we no longer drop our helmets in that situation, so there was a chance I would have to pay for it. This was in 1992. Five years go by, and I get a bill in the mail for the department of defense for $281.35. It took me three months just to figure out what it was for. The helmet and cover, from 1992. I had been honerably discharged in 1994.
I basically said to hell with it, I am not paying, what are they gonna do anyway? Well, come tax time, I was short $281.35 on my federal income tax return. I was ticked, but kind of laughed. Well, next round, I went and applied for a home loan. Well, the creditor says to me, that I have a bad mark on my history, and I would be getting the loan at a higher interest rate. When I looked, there was a bad mark from the Department of Defense, shown as an overdue payment of nine months. The only nick on my credit is that stupid helmet from 1992. 15 years later, that helmet is still on my credit history.
So, ya, it does happen.......

I think I have gotten all of my back points from over the last three weeks this weekend. Look about right anyway. I know my gold medals jumped by about 15, so that looks good as well.
What I am missing, is my army time for EU. I have been stuck at 8:22 this whole time. (should have about 10 more hours of EU time) That has not moved at all, along with army times for all the SF armies.
Also, I am still missing gold Support, Anti Tank, and Assault SF badges. Those were the only badges I earned during the outage. Still no updates on Tactical Weapons, grappling hook, and zip line totals. Those have sat still for this whole three weeks as well.
So, vanilla maps look to be updating OK, just a little slow right now. I am getting points for the booster packs, but everything else seems to be jacked up still.

Ya, I am getting points in SF, along with the gold/ silver/ brinze medals. yet, I am waiting on three expert badges. Assault, Support, and Anti Tank. Earned em all over the last three weeks, have screenshots, but nothing on the stats yet. As well as army time, or the grappling hook/ zip line/ and flash numbers.
Oh well, the expert badges are easy enough on Warlord or Ghost Town. Just seems weird on how only part of the stats are updating. Nothing I can get in vanilla right now, but all clan mates seems to be getting the vanilla badges.

World of Outlaws sprint cars
Boy, I am really confused now, LOL. I was in vent with a buddy tonight. We played about 5 rounds on the OFOA server. His stats updated, but mine did not. So, I know the server uploaded the stats to EA, but everyone is getting the points off that. He worked so hard to get his vetern explosives bagde, then I broke the new to him that the stats did not upload yet, as mine never changed. He was bummed, but when I looked his his, he got the points, and the badge. Dag nabbit. Only 400 to captain for about two weeks now, LOL.
Oh well, all in good time, or not at all. Still a fun game.

Well, an admin would have had to alter the game files to make that work. So, if the server is running an altered map file, then it is in violation with EA's ranked server requirements.
Also, this myth about admins can just kill anyone they want at any time, same deal. The map file would have to be altered.
So, either the map file had been altered, or glitched in my opinion.

Soem servers are updating right away, others are not. OFOA servers have been reset, and were issuing points yesterday. Today, nothing. Who knows. I know the weekends always have a delay anyway, so we will see.
I found one web site that will let you look at a players server history, too bad it is in a different language. I would like to see that here, and in english :-)
I have basically played all today (Friday) and I got zero points. I got off the OFOA server just now, and it was the only one to update. I bet I was on 15 different servers today.
Ya, the OFOA server was updating nicely all day yesterday. Then we moved to our SF server, and that was updating as well. Then, about 10 pm (est) it quit updating. We played about five more rounds, no updates, moved to our vanilla server, no updates. Worked great until late last night.....
So far today, I have played on three different servers, and still nothing.

Anyone else notcie, that most players seem to be having their best rounds while the stats system is down? Or is it just me?
I am still playing. Our server still has the same numbers of players that we did while the stats were working. In fact, I would say even more players are on it.
Oh ya, my only medal that I won during the down time, was the combat action medal. Yipee. Just play for another 33 minutes and I will get it again, LOL.

LMAO. This one got me thinking, so I went and checked the logs. Well, turns out SplinterStrike was auto kicked by the server for team killing. You had a -18 score, 0 kills, 1death, and 5 team kills.SplinterStrike wrote:
Gah. Sometimes I wonder how people think. Me and my buddy JF were gaming last night on the OFOA server. We go there cause they're pretty easy kills, but the rules are pretty crap.
Anyways, the thing here is bunny hopping. They dont allow it, and are pretty crap at shooting nonetheless. My point is how the hell is jumping over a prone dude to empty a mag into his back bunny hoping? Or jumping around corners/over objects? We were playing Songhua and both received a few warnings and cries from other players calling us "hoppers". Jay eventually got kicked for it after jumping over a series of obstacles (a bench, a wall and a stack of sandbags) to shotgun a guy. I got warned/threatened for jumping away from a grenade, which brought me closer to an enemy, which I killed.
Yea, there are thousands of servers, but I just want to point out a bad one.
However, you did get warned for bunny hopping the previous round, I do see that. I was not on that night, so i can not speak for the admins that were. Yet, you were not kicked for bunny hopping, you were kicked for team killing, which it auto kicks at 5 TK's, or a -10 score, so either way, you were gone. Also, the rules clearly state no bunny hopping. If you are jumping over people, and other objects during a firefight, the admin can easily see that as bunny hopping. Sounds to me like you were trying to push the rule anyway.
Funny how some stories are told. :-)
No, the key by itself does not work well, unless you have been GUID banned. Then you just enter a new CD key, make a new player, and you are on your way again. All you have to do is hope the CD key you bought has not been banned yet.
Only reason I can think of for buying/ selling CD keys.

I just reset the map rotation today, and no, it is not I.O.
Ghost Town (64 size map, 300 tickets)
Warlord (64, 300)
Night Flight (32, 200)
Mass Destruction (64, 300)
Iron Gator (64, 300)
Leviathon (32, 200)
Iron Gator (16, 100)
Surge (64, 300)
Devils Perch (32, 200)
We played it most of today, and everyone seemed to like that rotation. We are not always full, but all it takes is one person in vent, or on our vanilla server to say lets go play some SF, and we are gone. When it is going, we average about 32-36 people, with 40 slots.

This guy nailed it +1. there is a trailer that looks like the UAV trailer on the runway. That is where the repairs happen. Not the hangers, but that trailer. Just like he said, The carrier does not have this trailler, so it will repair at the open end where the boats spawn.DrunkFace wrote:
It is no bug.
Airstrips don't repair you.
There is an an aircraft repair building you need to fly over. It looks like the UAV.
They are usually beside the airstrips but it is very possible to fly over and get rearmed but not close enough to the buildings to get repaired.
Unless its on the carrier then you only get repaired at the end where everyone spawns.
Can some explain to me why it is that many countries around the world that have banned guns, still have gun violance? Japan had a Mayer shot yesterday.
Your argument is that the bad guys can not have guns, or ammo legally. Yet, they still have them. People get drugs into your country every day, they get guns and ammo in there as well.
If a guys wanted to kill 32 people, and there were no guns at all, he would have found something else to do it with. I vote we ban any sale of chain now because it was used to keep people from escaping.
Bottem line, bad people that want to to bad things, will. Period. Jack the Ripper never used a gun........

BF2 runs just fine on Vista. Half my clan, as do I, use Vista.
Also, with a PB ban, they have proof and I bet I could find it if I knew you friends game name.

Naw, not macros, but basically a tool that checks for different file types. Basically, it scans your hard drive while the game is playing looking for different file types that are known cheats. There is more to it than that, but in a nutshell, there you go. Macros may be part of it, I am not sure.
I just hate looking at PB screenshots of myself and seeing these messages pop up. A noob admin could mistake them for something else. I was also told that punksbusted.com has but people with this turned on, on their "watch list", as it tells you exactly what cheats it is checking for.
Thanks for the tip of "pb_LogToFile 1", I will give that a try. +1 (If I could)

Ahh, blowing smoke. They have to prove you have aimbot.
Funny you said that he was convinced it was the server that would not let people join squads. I had a guy come into the PLA airstrip on Dragon Velley. He took a J-10, and killed me to do it. Nothing worng with that, but it sucked dying, LOL. So he takes off, and half way back to the carrier, he smokes the PLA UAV, LMAO. So, he says that I (an admin) blew it up mid air cause I wanted it, and he was going to report it to his friend at EA. I just had to laugh. So ya, I have seen the accusations, but EA can not just reset stats at will.
By the way, how would an admin go about blowing up a jet mid-air, just so I could get it back for myself....hmmmm, LOL.

Did a search, no results.
A few months ago, I went to the command prompt in game and typed in "PB-LogMD5Tool 1" which made all server messages appear on my screen. It was kind of nice, as I could see who was getting kicked, and so forth down below. Kinda nice for an admin.
Now that we have the MD5 Tool checks streaming to punkbuster, it is annoying having the checks pop up every few seconds. Makes your kill notification drop off alot faster, and it can take up alot of screen at times.
At any rate, I have been trying to turn it off. "PB-LogMD5Tool 1" will turn it on, where "PB-LogMD5Tool 0" is suppose to turn it off. If I do this, it will turn it off, until I log out. Next time, they are popping up again. Anyone know how to turn it off for good?
Thanks

Played with F1r3starter last night on our (OFOA) server. Seemed like a real nice guy, and good player. He was in the Mig on Operation Clean Sweep. Got me in the F-15 a few times, but I did get him with the guns of the F-15 though. just one of those moments for a noob such as myself that you have to screenshot. He had no clan mates with him either.
He was doing fine until I shot him down, and US had the airfield. He started playing on the ground and a few people started to get on his case. Accusing him of bunny hopping, and stuff like that. I think he finally got fed up with it, and started to to yell back a little bit, but his choice of words got him auto kicked.
Was fun to play with, until a few of the other players started to get on his case about nothing. Amazing how alot of the players seemed to change when he come in though.......
