Hehe, if you were a good heli pilot you would be happy to have a bad gunner, that's just more kills for you. I often like to not have a gunner at all, but then I am a good pilot and can take out anything with hellfire missiles. Sounds like you are trying to compensate for poor piloting skills by needing to have a great gunner in your chopper. Maybe you're the one who should stay out of the heli and let a real pilot do his thing.

Torin, nice sig it looks like mine with a few changes...
I have only used the P90 a few times before a match started to mess around and TK a few people. It seemed to work okay for me. I TKed about 3 people per magazine. What I want to know is why anyone would use any submachine gun over the DAO-12, it makes absolutely no sense to me. The DAO-12 is hands down the best close quarters gun in the game, why trade a gun that does mid/close range poorly (the submachine guns) for a gun that does close range flawlessly (DAO-12). That gun is like a guaranteed victory in close quarters fights.

No recognition for me huh? Poker has 1 TK for every 33 of his kills and I have 1 TK for every 62 of my kills. I see how it is... Thanks!
Holy crap that person has played a lot and has a terrible score per minute. What gives? Strange name as well... Could it be a computer at an internet cafe type place or something where some random person is always playing on it? Cause even though he has all that time in vehicles and crap, his stats are terrible.
WTF you have more TKs than enemy kills. That's almost impossible unless you are up to something bad. Looks pretty fishy to me.noobmurderer wrote:
i dont like my team most of the time whats wrong with that
Look at my stats in my sig. I have 62 times more enemy kills than team kills. They are all accidental TKs, I have only TKed a few ppl on purpose. Your stats must mean you are downright just trying to go around and TK people as much as possible.
Lol, that is so wrong it isn't funny... The breakdown is as follows. A TK is always -4 points, team damage is always -2 points, team vehicle damage is always -2 points, and a suicide is always -2 points. Sometimes you get -6 for a TK because it is possible to get team damage right before actually killing the person. So you get -2, then -4 for the TK right after. You do not lose more points when people punish, punishing is only used to autokick/ban someone from the server if they are punished enough times.Defiance wrote:
Each TK is either automattically -6, or an auto -4 and another -4 if the TK'd desides to punish.
So -1 is off. His stats are a mystery to me.
The fact that he does not have a negative score can be explained by the fact that you can never lose global points. So if you end a round with -10 points, it just counts as 0. A lot of his negative points don't show because I am guessing he ended a number of rounds in the negative.
That's very interesting, maybe even one of the better random ideas I have read. I would go for something like this, clipping is generally bad in any game, it looks silly, and in BF2 it would be a balance measure as well.
Lol, I'm guessing you did a lot of team stacking with your buddies or something, because I am way better than you in every stat and I am not even close to a 3:1 win/loss ratio. I am not impressed by that ribbon unless I know someone gets it legitimately and not by team switching or playing on their clan server with all the good people on one team. I'm guessing you did one or the other, because your stats in general are average or below average as far as I can see, I don't think you would have any real positive effect on many matches yourself.Azygos666 wrote:
Stick with 16 player maps is my suggustion. A) its quick, B) if you are good you change the battle. Thats how I got my W:L up so quick
It shouldn't be a surprise that it is taking forever. It will probably take several more weeks to come out, it will fix like 2 things, but cause a whole host of new problems. That's the pattern anyway.
Awesome, the site I turn to for all my BF2 info needs gets better. Keep up the good work, I visit this site all the time and I think it is hands down the best for looking up stats and info.
Songhua is one of the best maps in the game. I probably just think that because I am really good at it for some reason. 95% of the time I get a gold medal on that map and my win/loss on Songhua is higher than any other map. Worst map is probably Oman or Op Clean Sweep.
I don't really care what your opinion is regarding which flags are more important. I go where the action is, I play this game to shoot at stuff and get into some hardcore infantry battles, I don't play it to sit around for half of the round at one of the rear flags to wait for a single tank to come rolling up and kill me. I don't spawn at the hotel flag cause I think it's a really neat flag, I spawn there because I know 80% of the USMC team is going to be heading towards me and I am going to own them up.
WTF? Are you crazy? Lol, I don't want to be in the real army, I would rather play games from the safety of my computer. I think I can safely say you are out of your mind though.IvIaster.Us wrote:

I'm guessing this guy just got owned a few too many times and thought making a funny post was the only way he could get over it.
It is different on different maps. On maps like Sharqi the attack choppers spawn in about 30 seconds. On Wake Island they take much longer, about a minute.
Yep, been keeping my eye on that game for a while and I'm fairly sure I'll be purchasing it. I play every genre, I plan on playing Oblivion (single player RPG) and Vanguard (MMORPG). Both are looking to be awesome games.
I didn't use sniper rifles at all before the patch, but I have been using them a bit after and I can't say that they are very accurate. The programming is all fucked up though. I can hit stuff at great distances standing up, but many times I will go prone and shoot someone 20 yards away from me in the head 3 times without anything happening, then after that goes on for a bit they will see me and kill me. This is on servers that I am pinging 30-50 to on as well. I almost feel like they work just as well if not better standing up and basically running and gunning with them.
Hahahah, how awesome is that. Good photoshops bro.
Honestly, are you all joking? Trackballs ARE NOT FOR FPS GAMES! They are for old ladies who are trying to avoid joint pain associated with using a normal mouse. I can GUARANTEE that if you learn to use a standard optical/laser mouse that you will improve your game immensely.
Your post is rather silly though, I wouldn't attribute that to anything other than a very lucky round or that you are an exceptional player. Although the PKM is certainly better than before, it isn't going to magically make people better at aiming or make them more intelligent gamers. I have gotten many short, single burst kills at long range with other weapons as well, not just the PKM. The changes to support weapons served the breathe new life into an otherwise underpowered kit. I am happy with all the 1.2 changes for the most part, just not all the fucking bugs that they forgot to fix.
Judging by your reply you must not have a solid grasp on how the gaming community generally works. I have been a gamer for a long time and have dabbled in every genre, so I know that how much you pay for a game has nothing to do with how much time you play it. I also know that BF2 is not the type of game that should have a monthly cost for playing it, however that is what EA is basically doing by releasing small chunks of new content and charging for it wherever they can.ShotYourSix wrote:
So let me get this straight.......Atlas wrote:

Your cost per hour given $50 for the base package is around 10c per hour, you've played over 400 hours and nearly 25 hours in the last week alone, yet you feel ripped off by the service you are getting?
I don't know about you but anything that costs me $50 and provides me with well over 400 hours of entertainment is a resounding success. Maybe it's just me but I think our society has produced a lot of whiney little bitches that will never be satisified bar nothing.
Go ahead and take a hike if you like but given the fact that this game has entertained you now for over 400 hours + I dare you to find a better game currently on the market that will satisfy your gaming hunger......
Just my .02
And don't tell me to take a hike you retard, I said explicitly in my previous post that I enjoyed BF2, just that I won't pay more money for extra content unless there is a damn good reason to. EA is very very lucky that they had such a solid fanbase from previous BF games and that BF2 has such solid gameplay with elements that can't be found in other games, because otherwise the large quantities of bugs and the lack of decent support would have driven everyone off a while ago.
It is unfortunate that society has produced suckers like yourself. While you're sending your money to EA send $10 to my paypal account and I'll give you a pat on the back.
The UAV makes a noise when it picks up an enemy? That's news to me. Or do you mean when someone spots an enemy and they say "enemy spotted"?razz wrote:

$10 might not be all that much, but then this game is already costing too much for the level of support I am getting. With the original game, expansion, and all these booster packs they are planning on releasing, it's quickly adding up to $100+ for a buggy game with medicore patches that don't address a lot of the important issues. If people start saying it is astoundingly good or something, I will throw down the money on it, otherwise, I enjoy this game and all, but I don't feel like putting any more money into it for the level of service I am getting.
Lol, that win/loss ratio, that is some MAJOR team stacking there. Just another form of stat padding. I'm not sure how people have fun playing the game doing shit like that. He just got his stats reset though like you folks are saying, so he is probably somewhat pissed and doesn't care if they get reset again. He still pads to some extent for sure.
In one sitting? Because a few days I have played most of the day, like 15 hours, but not straight. Normally 1.5 hours or so is the most I can sit before I need to take a break.
Hahaha, that's good.Crosell wrote:

Honestly I couldn't care less about people with over 200k points. A lot of people are going to quit? What, the 30 people with over 200k? Big deal... Most MMOGs take about 400 hours to max out a character (not WoW of course which is a kiddie MMOG). In this game is can take more like 1000+ hours to get 200k. Why should there necessarily be more ranks beyond that?
Who gives a shit? 64 player maps tend to just be a mad rape fest anyway. You better find some armor or start tossing grenades. 32 player is where the real tactics are.
Yep, gonna wait for the official release myself as well. EA still hasn't even mentioned the release have they? And you can't download it off their website, so I don't trust this yet.HerrHav0k wrote:
Fuck that. Wait 'til it's official. Isn't this the client side only? How are servers going to run it?
Sounds boring man, would be even worse than games like CS:S. If you die early, say by accidental vehicle TK, you could be looking at a 10 minute wait until you get to play again. Then if you get killed early again, you just got to play a whopping 2 minutes out of the last 20. WOW that sounds like a lot of fun!!! You can play like that as much as you want with your buddies, but I have no idea why you would want to do something so ridiculous.
Not for BF2 he shouldn't get one. There is a bug with dual core processors so that every time you play the game you have to set it to only work off of one of them, otherwise you get disconnected from servers all the time. Trust me, I have the 4200 dual core. If it is just for BF2 don't even bother with dual core, it's more of an annoyance than anything. When you boot the game up you have to alt+tab out, ctrl+alt+del, find BF2.exe and set the affinity to CPU 0 every time.cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
neither. its just having 2 cpu's into one, it can use 2 proccesing threads instead of one, therefore decreasing lag. go get 4200+ dual core if u have the money

i like the idea of defending America but there is no way the MEC could possibly ever land its forces on the USA.
It is impossible. It is illogical. BUT, it is a game
The MEC does not have the amphibious capability to even consider doing so. Any defeats USA may suffer in forward deployment theaters does not mean the same will happen with America on the defense. America on the defense will ultimately defeat any force, provided air superiority is maintained (as it is and always will be) and the oceans that line both coasts are protecting America. The only realistic thing that is possible is the Alaskan landing of Chinese forces. The Chinese would probably have to walk all over the canadians to get to the USA (im sure the canadians would let them through) but they'd suffer numerous air attacks, all the while not having any air superority of their own (they have no carriers).
There's also the factor of the nuclear option. If mainland USA were to be invaded, and although the nuclear option would be the last measure, be assured that it WILL be used if the USA is close to defeat.
If America goes down, the world goes with it.
In that respect, you cannot defeat America and America is here to stay.
Hahahaha, that video is hilarious. They are the crappiest stat padders I have ever seen I think. Running out of ammo killing a guy who isn't even moving, having trouble reviving. LOL that's good stuff.
Same, on Sharqi I think though, but that was like the first ribbon I ever got. It should not be much of a challenge to get it.SGT_Squirtle wrote:

Noob no longer just refers to someone who just started playing the game, or is "new". People now use it to mean idiot or moron. You are referred to as a noob if you do anything that other people consider to poor playing or a lame tactic. For instance noob tubing... enough said...
How the heck do you compare BF2 to an MMORPG, that just doesn't make sense... Apples and oranges so to say. It's like comparing Tetris to Mario, the only thing you can really say is that they are in different genres and some people prefer certain genres over others.
What's wrong with the future? Other people lived through the past so we wouldn't have to, the only thing we have to look forward to is the future... I have no idea why people are so stuck in the past. I saw a poll at one point that showed that people wanted the next BF game to be centered around some war in the past like 1942. Get with the program man! The future is where it's at!E7IX3R wrote:

Not as many noob tubers? Are you kidding? It has more noob tubers BECAUSE it is infantry based. The point blank noob tubing can get ridiculously bad on SF servers, one of the main reasons I usually stick to the real thing, old school BF2.DeAThSniPer[CoD] wrote:

Lol, you aren't serious are you?! Did you know that when you get a ranked server you are agreeing to certain rules yourself? You can't just go banning everyone whenever you feel like it because they killed you a couple times. I know you guys are paying for the server, but you need to get off the damn power trip. You could lose your server for pulling shit like that, but you should know that because you read the terms when you signed up for a ranked server... If not maybe you should go read them, or hopefully enough people report your admins that they yank your server from you. If you want to kick/ban anyone and everyone who gets a higher score than you, don't get a ranked server, it's as fucking simple as that. You guys sound like real idiots.-=SoF=-Rip wrote:
We are not that good. We pay for a server. We make the rules. You may feel that sucks or is unfair. Some people who pay out money to have a server don't like being ignored.
And if anyone else comes by and wants "own", they most likely get the same treatment. No one likes guests ignoring them. Generally that will get you kicked out of the party.
Looked at one of them, Jerunk, best round score of 700 on Kubra Dam. That's some serious stat padding.
Whether anyone agreed to it or not it's still stat padding if it was ranked.Esker wrote:

If you want their names I suppose you could look at their website and see if any of the players have any tell tale signs in their stats.
Just because that master gunnery sergeant (gimped sergeant major) had 50,000 points doesn't mean they didn't change the ranks. He could have gotten the rank at 40,000. An argument for this being the case would be that the one guy has 2nd lieutenant at 74,xxx (under 75,000) in which case there would be a gap of 30,000 points between first sergeant (20,000) and sergeant major (50,000), but a gap of 20,000 or maybe even less between sergeant major (50.000) and 2nd lieutenant (appears to be around 70,000). That would not make much sense.
Oh, and on top of that there are all the people getting extra unlocks recently. Unlocks are given upon an increase in rank so everyone that is getting free unlocks could be looking at a rank up on patch day.

If that was a ranked server your should report it to bf2rankedserver.com. Unfortunately I don't think you can see thier names in the video, do you have their names?
Thank god this is fake! If they not only didn't nerf the noob tube, but made it more powerful, that would be a huge step in the wrong direction. Nice one though, I think you made all the noob tubers nut in their pants.
I am fully aware that many of the highest round scores were obtained "BH hopping". I assumed that to be true. As I have said, that was a form of stat padding before it was patched and is certainly not "far and square" as you call it. I can see how innocent new players could get involved in something like that just by hopping into a blackhawk and not knowing any better, but unfortunately, at least in my assessment, BH hopping without trying to win the game is exactly the same as many other forms of stat padding. I'm sure you could claim you were trying to win, but I know in your mind you were hoping that that flag you just capped would get recapped so you could go back and get some more points. Whether people got their stats whiped for that sorta stuff I don't know, maybe no one has, I am just calling you all out who used to do it and making sure you know you are the same as the folks I see getting together with buddies/alternate accounts and knifing them over and over for some extra points.kontrolcrimson wrote:

Unfortunate for them, but keeps the stat system honest. I looked at the stats for like 30 seconds and noticed a best round of over 400 on Mashtuur. Sorry buddy, but there just aren't enough tickets in a game to score over 400 without some type of stat padding, plain and simple. I'm sure there are other examples in there that I don't care to find.
