Ok, finnaly got around to buying a power supply today. System shut down unexpectadly on me for the last time (Overclocking is not nice to a small power supply).
Got me an OCZ 700W GameXStream.
But the system still makes the squealing noise from the CPU area!!!!
Oh well, atleast I can OC it and have it stable, Plus all the LEDs look brighter.

I think this is probably true, but what do you expect with the release of 3 new consoles?
The PC is the ultimate in universality, I can play a game of any genre with it. Plus I can use the Internet on my PC, which my Xbox can't do.
I think the real problem is the game developers, they tend to release the game too early, relying on patches to keep ahold of their audience, for once I would like to see a game that was glitch free (mostly) and had a decent balance to it. With all the console games what you see is what you get, no changes to them. They are ready for release when they are shipped.
If anything the Xbox series will replace the PC if it ever happens, they are moderately priced, offer great games, awesome graphics without having to buy $2000+ in hardware, and XBox Live is possibly the greatest thing to ever have happened to console gaming.

LOL, I just looked it up, we have 3 Destroyers!!!!
and no Battleships.
But we have lots of brokendown Sea Kings.
And FYI, the Iroquois is now classified as an air defence destroyer following a retrofit from its anti submarine roll in the 1990s.

I'm surprised Canada is still leading.

M1A3 should have afterburners
Unfortuantly thats not how the jet engines function in the tank. Could you imagine, flying tanks? Who needs bridges...
This thread is starting to go to hell. Oh well, over to the destroyer thread, then maybe onto the jet fighter thread.
Its not that bad, but its not that great either. Its not like it just dumps the exaust straight out there.PBAsydney wrote:
It uses the same engines as the F-16 Falcon, ever seen a vehicle driving behind the M1? No, because it would have to be pretty heat resistant to do that.the_outsider38 wrote:

Missile destroyers FTW
Which tank has better fire control systems? Seems to me the Abrams was supposed to be able to hit their target before you even knew the tank was there.
And enough about the fricking crew.

Personally the F-18, its a fricking tough plane.
F-18 anded after mid air collision
Second one
Also the F-14 for long service time and the F-15 for being the best air superiority fighter/bomber.

Maybe some more info there? Eh?
I think my vote is obvious enough.

[sarcasim] Dude, its been known for years that if you ski your better at Battlefield [/sarcasim]
But he starts with the lambert carbine...My guess is he joined a game, his stats didn't load then everytime he gets a point his stats update and he gets a rank.
Kills/Damage/Vehicle Damage : 691 / 250 / 293

Lmao, he really has some power there.

Atleast stay outta the AMD threads ok, cyborg.
Don't need that intel crap around here

No kidding, that RAM is atleast twice as expensive. I do like the mobo options and advantages that come with the new NVidia Northbridge though. Does it support dual 16x PCI bus for SLI? Mine has to run both cards on a single 16x PCI bus, each card basically gets an AGP 8x. Not really a concern for my cards, but I imagine the 8800 can utilize more then an 8x bus, where my 7800GTs cannot.
Get a dual core 939, the X2 series is your best bet.
I cant even use windows with a regular mouse anymore.Sambuccashake wrote:

Me four.
Only 4 kills with the pod? You should be averaging atleast 5-6.
Whats this, no more smack talk??

533 divided by 2 = 266. DDR2 ram = Double Data Rate. Which means your ram runs twice as fast when put into dual channel mode.
Most thing in your PC are below 266Mhz, You CPU probably runs at 200mhz with a 10+ multiplier.
lol, im going to be using the DAO-12/pistol most of the time.
I throw medic kits at dead enemy soldiers.
My twin 7800GT COs can't handle the titan at any respectable speeds either. Maybe not that low, but definatly 2/3 - 1/2 the framerate on the ground.
Hey, wake whore, im stealing your sig
I have TS btw.

Wow.
I'll look into it further. I really wasn't planning on buying a new PSU, but I suppose they are cheap, with quality ones going for around $100.
Its jsut that its not even warm, the air coming out is room temp, even after being loaded for an hour of prime95.
I may just run it untill this one goes, it has all the over amp/current protections. Then maybe get a 1Kw PSU to be ready for the next system.
I'm actually probably taxing the PSU, considering they want you to have a minimum of 450W for a single 7800GT CO for a typical system, definatly not the number of HDDs and fans im running.
Thx for the info.

Scare it into submission. lol.
That was weak, but ill give you a +1 for effort
Oh, and when I said transformer, I mean the one for the CPU, located just to the left of the socket on the main board, It's definatly not comming from the PSU.
Can't even get a good pic of it, CPU heatsink is too big.

Its like a quiet mid/high pitched scraping noise, I can make it happen when I change slides in a slide show, lasts only a couple miliseconds after I hit next slide.
it seems to be directly related to certain types of processor useage.
It plays movies/games/audio fine. It makes noise changing slides/running HD Tach/Prime95

I dunno, I had probems with the generic PSU that came with my original case. Blew that one up, no harm to the system. My current is an Enermax 535W SLI PSU, it should be fine for the system, I think. I guess it kinda got bigger then when I originally ordered it, extra drives and all

And yes, I unplugged the CPU fan to check it, it was actually running fine w/o the fan at idle, It stays below 60C during the Prime95 torture test, but that CPU sure can suck up power, 1.6V.

Count me in, what verison? I have 1.41 installed.
I was messing around with the fans on my system yesterday trying to cut out some of the noise, when I discovered the seeming source of a strange mid/high pitched noise thats been puzzeling me for some time. It seems to be comming from the general area of the processor???? Its definatly not the fans, I quickly ruled that one out. Its not the HDDs, so its either the transformer on the mobo or the processor. Strange part is it only happens sometimes...I did a HDD tach and it squeeled constantly, then stopped when it was complete. I was just using it for a slideshow and it happened again.
The noise is definatly bareable, but its just weird. Nothing should be vibrating around there....

Orbital strikes are crap, but the EMP is priceless. I love using it on transports leaving the enemy titan only to watch them fall to their doom.
I played sooo much Spec ops when I started.
