We all know that you have it hidden with your fancy supercache'ing and all that newfangled stuff in vista.
Umm... just do it in your bios. What mobo/chipset are you running, what ram, what processor, and what cooling. What are your goals in overclocking. I want voltages and clock speeds also.
You need to edit ur last post.
And how much meth did we smoke this fine day?
I see fun with photoshop. On april fools day.

---------------
Controller Type
---------------
This is tied into the second part (after the .)
It's pretty simple
IDFKeyboard - Keyboard Key
IDFMouse - Mouse
IDFGameController_0 - Joystick (If you have more than one, change the _0 to read _1, _2, etc. **It always needs a
number and even if you have 1 stick, it should read _0. Remember computers start count at 0, not 1)
The reason why this is needed is because you can bind Axis controls to Keyboards, Mice, AND sticks. Same with
Triggers.
-----------------
Key, Button, Axis
-----------------
This is where you select the key that is being bound.
I've included a list of what every key is called.
You should have no problem binding joystick buttons or mice buttons (I use a bunch on my Logitech MX510). I also
didn't include what they are because every joystick and mouse are different.
-------------
Keyboard Keys
-------------
IDKey_KEYNAMEHERE
The Alphabet is just the letter (A-Z)
The Top number row are just the numbers (1-0)
The F keys just F1-F12
Special Keys
------------
` - Grave
Print Screen - PrintScreen

- - Subtract
= - Equals
Backspace - Backspace
Tab -Tab
CAPS - Capital
Shift - LeftShift/RightShift
Control - LeftCtrl/RightCtrl
Alternate - LeftAlt/RightAlt
Windows Key - LeftWin/RightWin (Yes I was suprised it used these as well!)
Space - Space
[ - LeftBracket
] - RightBracket
\ - Backslash
; - Semicolon
' - Apostrophe
, - comma
. - period
/ - slash
Return (or enter) - Enter
Insert - Insert
Delete - Delete
Home - Home
End - End
PageUp - PageUp
PageDown - PageDown
Number Pad Numbers - NumPad1-0
Number Pad / - Divide
Number Pad * - Multiply
Number Pad - - Minus
Number Pad + - Add
Number Pad Enter - NumpadEnter
Number Pad . - Decimal
I think that's all of em!
------------
Key Variable
------------
This is what defines the key to be either one shot or press and hold repeat or double tap. (Confusing??)
Okay example, when you press W to walk forward, you would set that to hold and repeat. If it was one shot, your guy
would walk forward one step and stop. And example of one shot would be weapon select. IF you press 3 to select your
main gun, it chooses it. Even if you hold down the key it will only go once then stop. If this was set to hold
repeat, your gun would be continously switching between firing modes. Double tap are keys like sprint (I think that's actually the only one that is double tap).
The codes are as follows
0 - Hold and repeat
1000 - Double tap
10000 - One Shot
I experimented with changing some of these from their defaults to different types and the game doesn't like it very well. I suggest you keeping all of the defaults the way they are.
If you are building the Controls.con file from the ground up, I suggest looking at the default one for the proper
settings. I'm not going to post all of them here.
--------------------
Primary or Alternate
--------------------
It's a good idea to follow all of the lines with a 0
This signifies the default button
If you want an alternate button do the following
Copy and paste the line you want an alternate to
Change the appropriate key
Change the final 0 to a 1.
-------------
**JOINT BINDS
-------------
Treat these binds the same as single binds but you need to enter 2 keys or buttons or axis.
UP then DOWN
RIGHT then LEFT
It's a bit backwards (normally it's left then right).
THe way these are designed you cannot make one a mouse button and one a keyboard.
The only way to go around this is to make one set primary and the other alternate.
------------------
Well I think that just about wraps it up. If anyone has any questions after, please don't hesistate to ask.
I'm also TRYING (repeat) TRYING to learn Visual Basic to create a small program to make this bind file with ease.
I'll let you know if I come up with anything or if anyone else has more programming skill than me (I can set the clock
on the VCR), let me know if you want to help out.
Good Luck!

If the Japenese admiral wasn't so concerned about moving all his ships about in some kind of massive ballet, they would have won almost every battle fought, starting with midway. They did win that, but they won it sloppily. It was a tactical win for the japs, and a strategic win for us. If you research it, you will see what I mean.

I fire the 1st rocket from the APC at its tracks. If I have an AT kit, I turn so my right side is facing him and jump out and hit him with an AT rocket (assuming its not karkand). If I have engineer, I can usually take him down, unless he is a really good player, and knows about the gas tank.
I don't really know where to post this, so if an admin could please move this to the correct section. This really isn't about a mod.
My clan, DCBB has a Desert Conflict 64 player server up.
Our server is running on a Dual core 2 Xeon (5150 series) with 2GB/ram.
We're sitting on a 100Mbit connection connected to over 40Gbps of internet backbone in Dallas, TX. Good central location for almost any gamer.
Its our server, we own the box. Last night with 50 players in there, we had 19% processor usage. If there is lag, its not our server, its the amount of ram that some of the maps require.
We are trying to have our DCON server be liked by all, and I am extending an invite to all of you to come and play on it. I enjoyed playing last night with afrojap, as well as some of the DCON dev's that were in there. We would love to hear your input (not what is wrong, but how you propose you fix it) about our server. This thread is okay for that, I will repost any replies to this on my clans website and forums (I don't know if it is kosher to put my clans website and forum url here.)
I really look forward to seeing all of the old desert combat guys again. We still run a 24/7 DC server for BF1942 as well, headed by our DC division.
We also have a public teamspeak, that always has a ton of people on it from our gaming servers. That ip is 74.52.164.130 and the password is open2004 , just move yourself to the correct channel. If you need any help, please talk to anyone with =bf-2= tags after their name (they are bf2 division members), or people without any division tags on (meaning nothing after their name).
I really look forward to seeing you on, as we are striving to make this almost a community server, if that makes any sense.

Well, there is one way to improve your view distance without cheating by screwing with your directX. If you turn to the side slightly, so what you are trying to see is to your 3 oclock, you can see it at a better distance then if its at ur 12 oclock. Very useful for chopper battles.2tuff wrote:

I am not claiming to be a good pilot. I am claiming to be decent. (I played for 5 months with a GeForce 5200, and 512 of ram, so stats are misleading.)
However, dogfight me, and see that I am more than decent. And I fly with a mouse. I went out an bought a joystick, but didn't like it. It seems more natural. (BTW, why do all the good fighterpilots in the world use joysticks? Because the joystick was invented waaayyy before the mouse was. Dee de-dee.)
I use a standard microsoft optical mouse, and the sensitivity is set to 6 for planes, and 4 for choppers. I fly against people in servers, and after a good dogfight (more often then not one I win), they ask me what type of joystick I use. When I tell them that I am not using a joystick, they say "I don't believe you".

I just in the last week built a new system around it, and it runs awsome. Also, when you are buying your ram, make sure that the ram that you get is based on the Micron D9GMH IC memory chips. Ram based on those you can overclock to no end. (well, maybe not to no end). It is worth spending the extra money on Micron D9GMH IC based ram, such as BUFFALO Firestix, Patriot eXtreme Performance, Crucial Ballistix, some of the mushkin stuff, and G.SKILL. You will want EPP ready memory.
Hey, nice graph. I would like to see the same graph but assuming 1 bullet missed.
