Which gun damages enemies fastest?

The PKM shoots the most damaging bullets but its rate of fire is slow.

The MP-5 shoots bullets really fast but you would damage your opponent more by pissing on him.

So which gun has the best combination of damaging shots and a high rate of fire? Two words: G3.
Not very surprising, but one result that I did find surprising: the M249SAW is very high on the list.

This is a simple chart and there's a lot of relevant information omitted from it. Three caveats:

1. This chart does not take accuracy into account. The chart can tell you who would win a face-to-face encounter when you are so close you can't miss. In other situations, the chart can't tell you who would win.

2. The chart does not take headshots or body armor into account. Headshots obviously kill faster than body shots. Targets take longer to die when they're wearing body armor.

3. The G36E and M16A2 are at the top of the list but they really don't belong there. I don't think you can shoot 900 shots in one minute with the G36E.

All data was copied from the BF2S.com wiki. Rate of fire is rounds per minute.

i think the USMC shotgun, that pump one it is not good at long shots but in very close fire. it pwned alot of peeps, but it takes a wile to reload so keep your handgun close so you can draw it and pop some caps in peeps.

Don't matter, G36E and M16A2 are the best of the guns there, and if they were in ful auto, at the rate the fire they would do the most.

Full auto assault rifles have a 600 rpm, while those guns because they are burst have a 900 rpm.

The G36C was incredibly good until it was nerfed, so it is still quite good but not at legendary standards and it is after all a carbine.

This list really means nothing, it doesn't take accuracy or how fast you can click the mouse again to fire burst weapons. This only counts if you are at the BF2 shooting range.

I think around 1.3

I remember even after my c4 got hosed in patchx.x, I stuck with the kit because of the G36. I mean to be running into an uncap and just point and click killing mofo's on your way to the UAV... it was nice.

Somewhere along the line, the iron sights didn't relate to anything and it felt like the deviation per shot skyrocketed.. If you walk around today on single shot, it is a beast.. but on auto, it's kinda iffy.

IDK, I noticed, cause I loved that gun.

The G36C seems pretty accurate to me - more accurate then the AK-101.

How would the DAO-12 fare on that list?

I have - the L85A1 is not as accurate as the M16A2, and neither are as accurate as the G36C. Carbines in general are more accurate than assault rifles, which really is backwards.

Nice idea, but...

This presumes that all the bullets hit. And as we all know deviation + moving target + dodgy aim = lotsa misses! Highly relevant in regard to the LMGs, which spray bullets in a cone; this is clearly visible in-game with the tracers.

But anyway, ignoring headshots: M95. No other way to take a guy down to 2 bars in the blink of an eye

Not surprising to me about the M249SAW. That gun is just a beautiful weapon.

Both the G3 and the M249SAW are my favorite weapons for their respective kits.

Its strange because I normally prefer the G36C to the E, and they are at complete opposite ends of the chart.

Defiantly not really an indication of how good the gun is, but interesting to know.

Some one just needs to do the math to take accuracy into account and figure out the chart for like 3 different distances.

...and factor in all three stances, burst or auto v. single shot (and follow-on shots). Good luck waiting for that; takes frickin ages to do!
