No, I'm offering my machine to someone else who can keep playing BF2 on it. I thought this may be a good rig for someone looking to upgrade.Rogue_Delta wrote:

Come on guys, stop crapping on the guy's thread. He obviously spent a lot of time on the system and seems to feel pretty bad about having to get rid of it because of no time to use it. If you aren't going to make him a serious offer, just leave it be.

Macs are compatible with almost everything, and 99% of the time you don't have to fool around with installing fucking drivers.Marlboroman82 wrote:

Mac has always had good hardware. I just wish their OS didn't suck so bad. In fact, yesterday I had to do a repair install of the OS on the G5 of one of our art dept. people. God damn I hate OSX!!!
I agree. But there are nowhere near as many as with Microsoft products. I've installed security patches for OS X. It's no big deal. I'm not going to play this stupid "chicken or the egg" game with you. You are entitled to your opinion. But in order to operate in a large scale environment like mine, you must have an open mind and be extremely versatile.Agent_Dung_Bomb wrote:
You're missing the point. I'm saying there are security flaws within the OS, like like there are in Windows. These are things over which you have no control, and will require security patches to fix. Yes, you can always try to secure your network from being open to such attacks, but in the end, you can't stop it all.claydawg wrote:

10.4.7 is the most recent. 10.5 Codename Leopard should be released around January. It was recently introduced at the WWDC 2006. http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/ -- There's going to be some nice additions in 10.5Agent_Dung_Bomb wrote:

One of the unforeseen ramifications of the AMD-ATI hookup is the new hyper-rumor-transport bus, a new technology whereby unsubstantiated rumors become fact at an alarming rate. I lamented this sad state of affairs a few weeks ago when patently false information regarding motherboard licensing was making its way around the 'net, and now we get to do it again.
Yesterday CustomPC claimed that AMD was going to scrap the ATI brand, inferring this in a most dubious manner. AMD's Gareth Cater had told them that AMD would, in fact, retain its name after the buyout was finished, meaning that AMD would remain AMD for the foreseeable future. CustomPC then assumed that this would mean that ATI as a brand was going to be dropped, reported it as such. The echo-chamber did the rest. For our part, we contacted AMD public relations folks yesterday, assuming that the story was bogus.
And alas, it is. AMD is now responding to the story, saying "AMD has no plans to drop the ATi brand name or ATi's product brands. The ATi name will live on at AMD as our leading consumer brand, and so will the Radeon brand and other ATi product brands. AMD's executive management knows very well the power and value of branding, and ATi's branding is some of the most valued in the global technology industry."
The ATI brand isn't going anywhere.

Thats the only reason I can possibly think of.
You should get some maturity and then get a girlfriend that isn't just over the net.
