Well i am in the situation where i want all of my lag gone. So i am wondering what of these two things will get the lag to dissapear completely. Is it ram or a graphics card. Now i have a 5200 fx and 512 mb ram. I think that the graphics is fine now. Would the lag completly dissapear if I upgrade to 2048mb ram or what.

1 Gb more ram should do it, if not 512 more should be fine, I run w/ 1Gb.

Truthfully, you need to upgrade both...but 2GB of RAM should fix the lag.

also the start lag. i really find the graphics fine but one thing that ruins my game is lag. Especially when you snipe.

Hell no! You can get 2GB of good ram for $200 or less. Check here. This is assuming that your system uses DDR400 PC3200, of course.stef wrote:

i had the same card but 768 mb ram
up graded the card and ram to 1gb and it went

So ram will do the job and remove all lag completely.
Dude it's your GPU!!! A 5200 is like an old MX400, it looks like a whole lot DX9 thing but it's slow as hell, sorry to tell you, but if you want a better framerate at a higher level of detail you will need to buy yourself a better graphics card.

At the moment i have X800 Pro and 1.5 GB RAM
it works well... on middle graphics
buy RAM
and if the graphic card is bad then get on BIOS and set your aviable space on RAM for GPU on 256 MB.. i think that will work
... but dont use 512 RAM and set on 256 MB on RAM for GPU ... your pc will... ****** . << (be very slow)

if you get another 512 you should be able to run all lows & 100% with no lag. at least thats how it was for me (3.2Ghz P4 northwood, 1 gig ddr ram, geforce fx5200). for higher setting you need to upgreade the gfx
