My qualm is with people who argue their pro-Iraq war points drawing on Iraq-Al Qaeda links as some kind of qualification of the war there, which it obviously was not and certainly is not after the publication of this report. I like the way you choose to 'blame' Russia and the UK on the gross mistake the leaders of YOUR country committed. How convenient. Nice way to shirk taking responsibility for your actions.

Second, what do you suggest we do? Perhaps we should strip the Iraqi citizens of the constitution they have created, remove their military from their control (it was transfered back to them earlier this wee), take Saddam out of jail, put him back as president and then give the Iraqi military back to him?
Seriously, offer some solutions.

No. Because Quality in this context is an adjective to Control. So the noun is Control that is dscribed as Quality. In fact you could have a quality control who's goal was to ensure BAD quality. Quality is descriptive of value but doesn't designate good or bad value.RicardoBlanco wrote:

It has to do with emotional investment. Basically, it boils down to what is important to you in life. If being good at a video game is what you gain your self worth from then you will do anything to be good at a video game. It doesn't matter that it's cheating or using unfair advantage. All that matters is how well you do. If you don't do well then you don't find worth in yourself. So, in order to maintain any level of dignity you HAVE to do well in the video game.USAFDude_1988 wrote:

Besides, I have never understood the point in spending £30 on a game and then running hacks on it. I assume it is so players can appear superior to others but surely thats just a hollow victory?
You can also look at it in terms of emotional investment. They are very emotionally invested in the game. How well they do in the game dictacts their mood. If they don't do well they are depressed. When they do well they are happy. To be god-like in it makes them very happy and if they can't then don't hold any value of themselves (but that's getting back to self worth).
Some people hold their self worth in video games but won't go as far as cheating due to morals. So, although they have self worth in the video game they also have high enough standards for themselves that that they must do well without the cheat codes.
Most people gain their self worth from school, family or their jobs. People that do get their self worth from "normal" pursuits and aren't emotionally invested in video games agree with you and don't understand the point of cheating. The video game is just for fun.
But not for cheaters.

The only person of credit disclaiming it was a EA UK board moderator. No offense to them, their jobs are hard, but board mods often don't know what's about to be announced. I've seen plenty of official game boards have their moderators say something that turns out to be not true later simply because they are not in the loop. Their jobs are keeping boards neat and tidy not part of the decision making process.

You cannot call this "glitches" nor "skill" they are from hacks. End of line. And when you see this on a server you know that at least one person on the server has hacks (if not more).
Finally, according to the website that sells the BF2 hack they have hacks that cannot be detected by VAC either. I don't know if it's true I've never played those games but I'm just telling you what they claim.

I noticed a couple of times last night a ouple of times I had the same thing happen.
Our MEC team was trying to retake the NW corner flag in Kark and as I went up the hill I sprayed a guy down with bullets and no hit indicator on my crosshairs. I could have sworn I should have hit him at least a couple of times. After he turned and killed me by the time I respawned and got back to the flag he was dead so I assumed it was just something weird happening. It happened on another guy (or same guy, don't know) that same game.
I didn't see any funny scores so I just chaulked it up to lag or something (even though I play with a 21 ping on that server).
It kinda makes me feel better to see I'm not the only one.......I.....erm....guess.

I can deal with being crappy and getting beat by good players. What I can't deal with is getting beat by hackers.
In fact....what I don't understand is why really good players aren't more pissed about hacks than the bad players. The hackers give authentic good players a really bad name. See.....if the game was "clean" then whenever a crappy player like me get's beat then there is no question that it's due to the skill of the good player. But with MSX spreading like herpes in a sex convention then it gives an excuse to accuse someone of "hax" whenever they wtfpwnbbq someone. I know if I was good and people accused me of hacking all the time I would be really pissed at hacks out there.
I see more "I'm so good I don't need hacks so I don't care" attitude than I see "those hacks make me mad because I'm good with skill and people accuse me of hacks". The good players should be the ones MOST pissed by the hacks.

What is needed is a vehicle queue.
1) When a vehicle spawns it cannot be entered if a queue for it exists.
2) When you start a round (or enter a round) you apply to queue for a specific vehicle at a specific spawn point. You can apply for as many queues as you want.
3) When a vehicle spawns it spawns with the top person in the queue for it. That person is removed from all other queues.
4) If the person leaves the vehicle then anyone can enter it at that point (for ground vehicles, plane vehicles obviously crash and respawn).
5) Once you die in a vehicle (not once you leave the vehicle) you can re-enter any queues as defined in step 2)
6) If a person is out fighting when a vehicle spawns and they are at the top of the queue for that vehicle then they are presented with the option to suicide in order to spawn with the vehicle.
This would not apply to trivial vehicles such as jeeps. This system allows for people to fight until a vehicle is available to them. Due to the suicide (rule 6) it puts a premium on whether they chose to enter the spawned vehicle or not. It reduces the amount of "waiting around" that people do for vehicles and highly discourages TKing for vehicles (if not eliminating it). It DOES reduce realism in the game.
The only other way is to spawn enough various vehicles for every person in the game to get in one if they want (for example as soon as a tank leaves it's spawn point if there is a person with-in a certain radius, say 20 feet, of it's spawn point then another one spawns).
That's what I can think of to help the problem.

I'm not sure how long they will keep renting out servers or supporting the ranking system but basically 1.4 is the end. I think they WANT to get it out so they can be done with BF2.
Honestly, at the current time the hackers have won. They have figured out a way to rotate MD5 hashes. That is how PB does it's job is to compare MD5 hashes of loaded programs to a db of MD5 hashes of known hacks. That's all PB does and from what I have heard all they plan to do in the future.

That pistol design is TERRIBLE. Why on earth would anyone design a pistol since the 40s with a revolving chamber?!!?!??! I just don't see how you could keep recoil down when compared to gas powered semi-auto with a clip. I don't like it.
So. . . . there are only 4 kits in 2142?
At first while looking at the video I didn't see how on earth foot combat troops could survive. I mean look at all the vehicle types AND squad leader equipment designed to mow down troop. However, I see that to take down the Titan you have to enter it and be on foot.
I just hope that there are enough vehicles to go around on the maps so that the game won't be a huge vehicle queue.
