I'm definitely not a wine aficionado, but after only 3 years of moderate/heavy consumption, I can tell you with 100% certainty that your taste buds will change and detect subtleties that you would have called bullshit on 3 years earlier. I don't pretend to understand it, but it's a real phenomenon.Uzique The Lesser wrote:
never said wine making wasn't a craft. i said it's bullshit that someone's taste will 'develop' in 20 years so they can 'appreciate' a drink more. a) it's subjective, b) your taste isn't a faculty that improves progressively, like some sort of knowledge or memory.

I'm sure "Project 12" was unaffected though. Delicious!

This my jam.
This would maybe be ok if it had more souljuh.

Chocolate was pretty mild, but you could definitely taste it. It's a bock so it worked. Sam Adams makes something similar which is probably slightly thicker than Saranac. Both are more than drinkable.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Saranac Chocolate Lager

Feels strangely thin since it's a lager instead of the more common chocolate stout variety. Enjoyable.
Founders Backwoods Bastard

10.2% ABV. Innis & Gunn on steroids. Smells amazing. Taste to match. I wouldn't say Founders is my favorite brewery, but stuff like this is definitely helping me warm up to it.
Founders Breakfast Stout

Double Chocolate Coffee Oatmeal Stout. Strong coffee flavor. Thick and smooth as silk. Not really into caffeine, but definitely an incredible beer.

Innis & Gunn Spiced Rum Limited Edition

Not that much different than the Rum Cask. Still pretty good though.
Saranac Pumpkin Ale

Great seasonal if you can get your hands on it. Probably my favorite pumpkin ale. Much better than the Dogfish Head variety which is an overly spicy dessert beer IMO.
Hitachino Nest White Ale

An above average white ale made in Japan, but probably not worth the price tag at $5+ a bottle.
Midas Touch

Great beer I have probably mentioned before. Finally got a hold of it again, but probably wasn't as great as I remember. Still, a good beer.
Arrogant Bastard Ale

I'm not really into IPA's, and this was still a great beer.
Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale

Not bad. I might actually prefer an Old Chub over this as far as Scotch Ale goes though.
I probably have too many "goto" beers now. I sample a huge amount, but not many impress me enough to beat my favorites anymore.

I found it on a liquidation sale for $10 anyway. Worst fucking game i've played in ages. Browses and launches from a browser, can't bind my mouse wheel. That's more than enough for me to declare it a steaming pile of shit.
Oh yeah, origin... /me holds back vomit
Don't even get me started on the MW-esque community obliterating overpriced map packs.

Didn't seem too... Smooth, though.
The vehicle response definitely feels sluggish. I want to like it, but it feels too much like a mod still. It's not horrible, but a lot of things need to get ironed out before retail.
