I think Highway Tampa was what caused the problem in BF2. I am very hesitant to download this patch till it is tried and confirmed to be working, can anyone confirm that?

There is no difference between the stock 640mb part, and the 320mb part, aside from price and ram.
Resellers can, however, overclock. XFX currently has a very attractive 320mb part that is overclocked to the point of insanity, but it can suffer from the lower amount of memory sometimes.
