The biggest problem I have with BF3 is the lack of VOIP. Everything else I can overlook but not being able to communicate in a team based game just kills it for me.

F-35 is laughably bad. It just doesn't work in any single way.
For me I find it hard to believe that the aircraft wasn't destroyed either in flight or once they knew it was "lost." I know about as much about military tech as an average person but I thought the craft would have a self-destruct feature or a tracking feature that would guide a cruise missle to it. I'm sure the military doesn't want to blow up a multi-million dollar piece of equipment at the first sign of trouble but then you end up in a situation like this.
Personally the story doesn't add up. We all know the Iranian's like to put on a show for their own people as they do for the outside world. I've been leaning toward this "accident" being staged by the U.S. military. Perhaps the drone contains old technology or misleading information to create confusion or a diversion within the Iranian ranks. Of course I could, and most likely am, way off base I just to think outside the box from time to time.

I was thinking about picking up the Tt E Sports Meka G Unit. Anyone have any opinions on this keyboard eith for or against?
Iran is claiming they hijacked the drone by exploiting a known GPS weakness.

I've been leading towards mechanical as well. I have an old IBM keyboard that I've sworn by for 10+ years but it's starting to show its age. I'm glad I stumbled across this thread since I was leaning towards a Razer but from what I've read the 6GV2 sounds like a better option. The keyboard will be for heavy game use so if anyone has any other recommendations/advice I'd like to hear them.
The F-35 is just awful, I'm not the best pilot by far but you don't even have a chance of success in that thing if the Flanker pilot is even half-way descent.
Well the F-35 sucks, might as well be a tank with wings because that's how it flies.
Yes there's a Strike at Kark-Land hence the reason the servers are down.steelie34 wrote:
lol he said karkland
The servers are down for a "one hour scheduled maintenence." That was 5 hours ago and on the day that B2K was released on the PC. Fucking idiots.
I don't know who is the bigger idiot EA/Dice for doing server maintenence on the realease date of B2K or me for believing their one-hour scheduled downtime would actually take one hour.
I love the Battlefield franchise, I've been a fan since '42, but the stability issues with this game are unparalleled.
First attempt to log into a B2K server resulted in BSOD. Second attempt resulted in "BF3 has stopped working." sigh.

That's just it, there's always something bigger, better and faster just around the corner. I've been putting off building my new system until the new AMD Piledriver comes out but I sprung for the Bulldozer last week instead because trying to keep up with the new stuff is an exercise in futility.FloppY_ wrote:
And what comes after IvyBridge will no doubt be "rediculously fast" as well, new stuff comes out every year, waiting half a year for a new PC is hardly worth it? Besides, IvyBridge is LGA1055 like the i5-2500Camm wrote:
hmmm... I dunno man. Ivy Bridge is going to be ridiculously fast. Plus, I wouldn't re-use an old psu. Something about it just seems... tempting-fate-ishFloppY_ wrote:
New Ivy bridge processors coming April-May
Replacement for the 560 coming mid-2012
I thought they were much closer, I guess I should just go ahead and buy what I've lined up now?
Intel i5-2500
ASUS Z68-series motherboard (haven't decided which yet)
ASUS 560ti 448 TOP (factory OC)
Corsair Vengeance (LowProfile) 4x2GB DDR3 1600Mhz CL9
Corsair Obsidian 650D mid-tower
Cost: €675+Motherboard+CPU cooler
(I need to find a LGA1055 cooler, suggestions?
And re-use my:
Corsair HX620W modular PSU
Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB (I might consider making this a NAS and buying a Spinpoint F4 for the new build instead)
Looking good?
Suggestions?
Hardly, at work we have very limited ressources and even the old cheapest possible 350W-400W PSU's there fail so rarely it's insignificant... The one I remember that did fail, didn't take any hardware with it iirc.
My HX620W is from January 2009

I didn't mean it as a negative. I support Isreal 100% and their right to defend themselves from an enemy that has said outright they want to destroy them. Perhaps where your tiny brain got confused by my post was that I implied I would rather have them take care of Iran instead of us. They have the intelligence and the hardware in place to deal with them directly so I would rather the United States take a support role in all of this.hocSiciliano wrote:

He refused all three options as they would be seen as an act of war.

^Exactly. Classic misdirection.

He was good in "The Edge" probably because he played a douche that got what he had coming.
Shocking but not surprising.
Oh man that's hard to listen to. Not as bad as death metal friday though.
^Pretty much what Jord said.
The players I've seen stay alive the longest and have success on the battlefield orbit at height and swoop in at steep angles to attack their targets. Once low they use the terrain to break locks until they can get some distance from the fight and regain altitude.

Post patch the game hangs at the loading screen between rounds for me.
I just picked up Total War: Shogun 2.
I'm a big fan of the Total War series and Shogun 2 didn't dissapoint, it's visually stunning, lots of factions and overall a lot of fun.
Cities XL 2012 is next.

I've been watching this show here and there just because it follows one of my favorite shows "The Walking Dead." So far I'm not really sure about the show, it has its OK moments but Common ruins it for me with his sub-par acting.
^I'm the same way. My parents made me do the "church thing" when I was younger and gave me parole for time served after I was confirmed. It gave me a good foundation but I don't need to set foot in a church every Sunday to be spiritual or to be reminded how to treat my fellow man in my daily life.
I think human beings, in their quest to answer the great questions, established the institutions of religion to not only guide people in the right direction but to also give them hope and belief that there is a higher power in their lives. However since religion is man-made it is subject to the same faults that human beings possess. Eventhough great things are done everyday in the name of faith great evil is also committed and that is truly a shame.
