I like that one comment about getting trampled on being worth it to get their niece and nephews what they need.... Really? They NEED $180.00 shoes that they will outgrow in 6 months tops?
When I buy my kids shoes, and I have 4 of them, I don't think I spend that much combined.

that's because you're not an idiot living off of what's given to you
I am referring to young children, which is what I thought the lady interviewed was referring to. I do not outgrow shoes anymore either, and really haven't since I was about 18.RTHKI wrote:

Black people
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
white people do this stuff too. it's the world we set-up for ourselves in the 1950's and made considerably worse in the 80's. now look at us.

More cultural than racial. One of the reasons I prefer catalog systems like online shopping.
...and buying early for Christmas if I'm going to. Seriously, who wants to deal with that last-minute shit?

X1,000,000. Unless you're into unruly crowds, horrible traffic and zero parking on-line shopping is where it's at.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

....and yes cultural or racial those people sure do love sneakers. They can be homeless & penniless but they'll still have sneakers so gleaming white that it's like staring into the sun.
Silly african americans
i can honestly say i have never rushed or queued or camped out to buy any thing, and i feel like a much better person for it, too. how fucking sad and inane can your existence be if you're genuinely that excited by a material thing? not just with stupid disposable shit like trainers, either... iphones and ipads and the like. it's like people really buy into the idea that if they own these things (let alone if they own them before everyone else!) they'll be a better person for it, or will be perceived as so.
