I know, I was saying I say that to chicks to pick them up. I don't try to pick up chicks with my GPUs, because I only have one. And it's bad.
Sorry finny.
It's okay Sonder.
I would offer you a sick deal on my old 5850, but you're over the pondFinray wrote:

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
I'll be buying Uzi's 6780 soon I think.SonderKommando wrote:

285 is shit compared to a 6870
even compared to a 5770 I can't see it being worth it
sorry james

It wasn't a serious suggestion, I was just jumping on the bandwagon talking about cards for sale

I have an old AGP 7600GT with an aftermarket cooler on it if anyone needs one.... Still works too
I bought a 4670 from fin with a 'CCU' (custom cooling unit), essentially an 80mm case fan zip tied to the pcb. worked brilliantly. FFLink bought it from me.Canin wrote:

it'll run CoD4.. barely. 800x600 with a custom config to reduce all graphics to bare minimum and you'll get 60 FPS.
Just ordered 16GB (2 8GB kits) of Mushkin DDR3-1333 RAM for €62. How awesome of a price is that? When I bought my OCZ 4GB of RAM two years ago I paid like €80 for the kit... now 4x the RAM for 2/3 of the price! Motherboard can't handle any more than 16GB, so I'm maxed out there for a while. Really curious of what a difference this is going to make in my PC when gaming, working, etc.
unless you are running multiple virtual machines or rendering/coding audio/video/3d graphics - none.CapnNismo wrote:

if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.
Well that's what I'm going to be finally able to do! Looking forward to (likely) never having to boot into another OS. Just load up my virtual machine and run that for whenever I actually NEED my Ubuntu installation. Add to the fact that I'll also be able to actually load a lot more into RAM when I do my video editing, it's going to be nice, too. Like I said: work.
I'm betting that BF3 will at least make a difference because that thing eats up all 4GB of my RAM and coming out of the game and back to desktop is a bit of a laggy affair. If this fixes that problem, I'll be happy.

I shall. Finally going to be able to properly unleash my X6 1055T. The only other bottleneck will be the HDD, so that's next.Shahter wrote:

6GB Corsair dominator DDR3 a few days ago. Had less than 1GB free when playing BF3 before, worried me.
Same thing with me - bloody game ate up nearly every bit of my 4GB. Won't have that problem anymore in a few days!Microwave wrote:
