Even though the game actually functions its impossible to play online just like any clancy game

Thanks for posting that list of games miggle.
I think I'll start playing them now. While I go listen to Nickelback. In my hello Kitty pj's.

I want them to release Beyond Good & Evil 2 before they die.
Last Ubisoft game I bought was Assassin's Creed 2. I though it was very good, I had a lot of fun with it. Sure it took me five cunt-gargling hours after installing it to make my way past the DRM to actually play it - my solution being to download a crack - but I had a lot of fun with it. So much so that a couple of months ago I re-installed it planning to play it again. Unfortunately, after signing in to their online thing I was told that I needed to input my CD Key, which I did, only to be informed that it had already been used.
Now one of the purposes of this online thing was to tie CD Keys to accounts. My CD Key had been tied to my account through my first install so in theory I shouldn't even have to input it a second time. But I did. And it had 'already been used'.
Of course it had already been fucking used Ubisoft, it was used by ME!
I did a little research to see if I could find an easy solution. Couldn't. What I did find was that this was a common problem and had been since the game's release. Way back then Ubisoft pledged to do something about it. To date they have done nothing.
So yeah, I don't know what crawled up your arse to start this thread Miggle. Either way I'm with you, fuck Ubisoft.

ubisoft seem to completely cripple the people that buy their games
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
I like the Splinter Cell series. When I got conviction, I had fun until I tried to get the Deniable Ops DLC. I bought and downloaded the flies. Once I installed them I started the game to try them out, and the content wasn't there. I left the game and went and found where the DLC was supposed to be installed, and the files were all where they should be, but in-game the content isn't there. I ain't about to buy the game and the DLC again on steam.
Don't kill the games they make just kill Ubisoft. They do weird stuff.

The Assassin's Creed series are ace.
Just about the only Ubisoft series I've ever enjoyed that they actually developed. HAWX was okay but nothing special and I never got into the Splinter Cell series.
I'm pretty sure that when you buy ubisoft games through steam ... their draconian DRM isn't an issue. Oh, and most all their titles are 33% off this week on Steam.
WiC didn't have any stupid DRM management.

Yes, the entire Ubisoft staff is responsible for implementing DRM.
I like Ubisoft, they make and publish some good games.
Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and World in Conflict comes to mind.
Yes, their drm is pretty stupid, but there's always a way around it.

arent some of those tom clancy games good? grey's anatomy would be cool if it were like the sims and you get to make them make out
I quite like Splinter Cell. Why don't you just stick to wanking over System Shock 2 Miggle.
Are you fucking kidding me? I can list over a dozen games that I played and enjoyed from that list. DRM is retarded, but so are pirates who pirate because they say they don't want to get ripped off by a bad game, but who also have no intention of buying it even if it's a masterpiece.Miggle wrote:

the early rainbow sixs and splinter cells were alright too
Lol yeah I'm playing RSV2 right now. Definitely one of the best co-op games ever made. The Splinter Cell series is awesome too. If only the games could could have been made by a different company.Spamtheban wrote:
