Phelps is god

It is a remarkable achievement, but I was watching something on the news the other day that was exploring how easy it was to get medals in swimming, because if you are good at everything, you can enter everything. It's not like track and field.

So, the real hero of the Olympics for me is Usain Bolt.

It's long been known that swimming allows an athlete to compete in more events. One can take the 100m and 200m races in the same style, plus competing in relays, both single events and medley etc. Still, to enter eight and win eight - that is phenomenal, and although Bolt is also incredible I still think this Olympics belongs to Phelps.

Yeah I never knew it, but in the Athens games he gave up a spot he rightfully earned to let Crocker compete for gold, if I heard it right. He's a total athlete and gentlemen if every story you hear about him is true. Proud to have him as a fellow American.

schmoopy that is a stupid argument, what about the people that train for certain events in swimming, phelps still kills them, and it isnt like he is swimming against the worlds best, and still crushing them, so it isnt so "easy" to get medals
