Man, you guys must seriously overplay this game...I've had it since release day, done about an hour a day (due to other things), and I've only just got to the part where Roman's appartment and taxi place got burned down...I still have loads to go and enjoy.
Did you guys just do the missions for hours on end without doing anything else? I usually do a lot of fucking around between missions, makes it last longer.

take your time beating a game.. beating gta4 too fast is like stuffing a $600 USD cuisine at a 100mph only for you to run to the nearest bathroom because you have a serious case of indigestion.

Anyone else think GTA4 is abit overrated? I mean sure it's huge and shit, But it's just not as much fun as the previous GTA games and it doesn't have all those cool weapons/vehicles that were in VC and SA. Sure it may not be realistic but it sure was fun! Remember base jumping from the top of the highest buildings in SA? Or the first time you flied the skimmer in VC? Hell the previous games were alot more colorful and things were more distinguishable. Everything in GTA4 is gray. Don't you guys miss the Planes, Attack Heli's, Vast weapons variety, And fun of the previous installments? I sure do. Although MP is fun, It would've been more fun if we had those 'novelty items' in it. I just hope the Next installment wont be so lacking as this one. *cough* vice city 2 Tommy's Revenge */cough* (Please let it be so!)
Yeah, I do. As I mentioned in the official discussion thread, the "detail" promised is good, but with buildings it's very lacking. I'm disappointed you can't go inside the Bean Machine Coffee Houses, 24/7's and the fact that there's only 3 types of clothing shops, 4 stores in total is VERY disappointing. You'd figure that a place based on NYC would have more than 4 stores.David.P wrote:

I was hoping it would be bigger in general! I mean san andreas was abit smaller and had alot more variety. Also the stations kinda suck. Not as many cool/good songs as before. Also the spanish station is a bit annoying now, In VC you could partially make out what they were saying but now i have no freaking idea.Poseidon wrote:

And about the size - the size is fine. San Andreas was meant to be an entire state, but this is meant to be a city.
Currently playing through GTA SA for the 4th time, 1x 100% 2x 60-75%
Thats about 300-400 hours of game, I really doubt ill get that much out of GTAIV when i get it.
