I decided to buy a bicycle obviously, but last one I had was 10ish years ago and it was some old crappy BMX.
Im looking for something for the city, recreational and useful to get from A to B. But the thing is I have absolutely no clue what to look for (or what tips to ask for). As far as bicycles go I'm a noobie-newb   Any, absolutely any tips are appreciated

2 wheels, chain, pedals, seat, handle bars, brakes. Just make sure it has that.

well so far you at least made me laugh

And budget is up to about 300€ (which is about 7000$ )

But make and model and links aside, what should I look for? (apart from the obvious wheels)

You need to be looking at something good but not too expensive like a Specialized hardrock
But whatever you do, dont get one of those crappy cheap ones like Apollo's

Hope that helps

Which is why you should follow my advice and just go for a bike that matches my description above

You guys dismiss me as a maniac but I can assure you I'm more intelligent than I look

Just like go to a local sports shop and look around the Mountain bikes. Buy whichever one takes your fancy inside your budget.

You live in Vienna, Austria, right? Just use the Citybike, dude. €1 to register, and then from then on whenever you use it, your first hour is free. Put it back into one of the drop off points, wait 30 minutes, get the bike out again and another free hour of bike riding.

hehe yeah I used Citybike many times and is kewl (Vienna ftw), but its not like having your own

edit: @Marlboroman - when I opened that link I thought is said Gay Fisher bikes
Anyway, it looks nice but I couldn't google any shop that has that brand in Vienna. and I don't want to order it from Germany...
