I like duct tape simply because it comes in so many colors and varieties, all other adhesives are obsolete IMO.

Just for the record, if an Aussie says
'Duct tape' = Gaffer tape / Race tape, whatever the hell you call it, Wiki-P has a pic.
'PVA' = Wood glue (white glue?)
'Sticky tape' = Scotch Tape

I'm gonna go with Araldite, that glue's got some really determined octopuses [sic].

Insulating tape, but duct tape is a close second. Insulating tape is commonly used on electronics, due to it's ability to adhere to a smooth surface while being able to be peeled off again later.
I still have a portable CD player held shut by it. (I yanked it off a computer on a desk onto a concrete floor. The tag holding it shut broke, and it still worked fine, and barely even skipped. That's old Sony build quality for ya.)

Rubber cement is awesome. Not for adhering to anything of course. It's like napalm for kids.
If you ever get bored, make a big spiral with rubber cement and light it. It makes a really cool effect.

Super glue

Makes a awesome first aid when used to glue deep cuts until you can get stitches.

In addition it glues shit together quick, no wait time hardly.

Combine it with some steel wool and watch the pyrotechnics.
