It will always be a mystery, but here are some of the suspected ingredients:

(1)  Don't piss off Jeff (chuyskywalker, the site owner) ... he makes the mod decisions
(2)  Be helpful in your postings
(3)  Be mature in your postings
(4)  Demonstrate some self control


On the other hand, here are the top 10 things you can do to guarantee you will never be a mod ...

• [10]  You will never be a mod if you have ever posted something like tubgirl or goatse
• [9]  You will never be a mod if you have a tendency to respond to members with "stfu", "faggot", "idiot" or "n****er".
• [8]  If you have to create duplicate accounts in order to post on BF2s, you will never be a mod.
• [7]  You will never be a mod if you frequently start topics that are neo-nazi, cheating/hacking, or pornographic in nature.
• [6]  You will never be a mod if you launch a DDoS attack against BF2s because you got a tempban.
• [5]  If your user name contains "cdogmn", "spawn", "CUTIE4EVA", "churn", "dhoar", or "birdman" ... you will never be a mod.
• [4]  You will never be a mod if you create a thread to flame the site owner, an admin or moderator, or BF2s.
• [3]  Troll or spammer?  Not a mod.
• [2]  Do you see any of the existing moderators constantly posting in leetspeak or internet slang?  Exactly ....

And, the #1 way to never be a mod ...
