the only reason why I started a new one is because no one is responding to the others .. besides this one has more information than the others

To give you a more complete summary of my computer specs and connection speed here they are:

AMD 2.2ghz Dual Core X2
1GB Corsair XMS2
ATI 512MB X1800XT
250GB Western Digital
ASUS MB

Connection: Timewarner Cable NY


Clearly there is nothing wrong with my connection.  My punkbuster works fine and hasn't kicked me.  My computer is not bad at all for BF2. 

Is it possible maybe I need to open up some ports on my router?  Can someone please help?

I fixed my punkbuster issues .. I made sure I have no firewalls on ... made sure my modem and router are properly working etc .. and I still cannot seem to solve the issue ...

When I join a server ... it kicks me out after about 10 seconds for no reason ... and it says connection lost ... meanwhile my internet connection has no problems what so ever.

Please help

yes i've installed PBsvc and also have those punkbuster services running in the backround PbusterA.exe .. etc ..

I do not believe this is a punkbuster problem ... BF2 was always like this .. it always acted up kicking you out after joining the server for a few seconds .. the only way i fixed it in the past was the constantly reinstall the game over and over again .. but i hope i don't have to do that

I have already done this ... it is not a pb issue any longer .. it just removes me from the server after a few seconds/minutes telling me lost connection

Okay so i fixed all my other problems with BF2 with punkbuster and etc, but not every time i join a server ... it lets me run around for about 10 seconds pretty choppy and then kicks me out claiming i lost the connection .. which is pure bs .. because i'm plugged in straight to the modem now ... and i am using other internet apps that are working perfectly.

Someone please help?

So i solved the Punkbuster problem .. but now when i connect ... i get into a server for about 10 seconds and then it tells me connection lost

K .. i updated punkbuster ... and now i can connect but PB is kicking me out telling me connection failure PbsterA.exe or something like that

I haven't played BF2 in like a year because my buddies stopped playing.  I installed it again and am trying to connect to servers.  I am getting this error message.  "Connection Failed.  Please check your network settings and try again."

My network is fine.  I'm not running a firewall. And I made sure my IP is set to DMZ on my hardwire linksys router.

Please help .. i wanna play again

someone please help ... still can't figure this out .. i did everything and i even updated punkbuster and all that

well this used to happen in the past and it had nothing to do with the cable .. the cable is in tight .. only happens when i play bf2

I just tried updating PB via the punkbuster.com site.  It did not work.  I joined a server and was in 30 seconds disconnected again.  I don't believe this is a punkbuster issue.

Alright guys, here's what's going on.  Everytime I want to play BF2, the game just doesn't let me.  I load up and everything is fine, but when I want to join a server to play online, after a few seconds or minutes, the game just drops me.  It says "You have lost connection".  I don't understand.  There is nothing wrong with my connection at all and have tried multiple suggestions that people have told me.  This has happened at various times in the past and seems to have been an issue ever since BF2 was released.

Problem:
After joining online games, after a few seconds ... "You Have Lost Connection" error message

I have already:
Reinstalled, Repatched, Made sure I don't have a firewall on, Rebooted my router, Checked my internet settings

Analysis:
It is not a specific server, it happens in every server.  It isn't the physical computer hardware.  I built the machine and it was worked wonderful in the past.  The specs are very high.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i reinstalled it and now it works .. but it started doing it again and now it keeps on kicking me again

i'm pretty sure it's not the EA servers today .. this has been happening for the last week .. it happened the first time i installed bf2 and started playing as well ...

no i don't have a firewall .. i might try reinstalling it though ... does anyone else have any other solutions .. i really don't feel like uninstalling and reinstalling it right now ... plus i'm pretty sure that's not the fix

Hey, I just reformatted my computer and got all the latest drivers and patches etc.

I reinstalled BF2 and got the latest version ... every time i try to connect to any server it lets me in for a few seconds and then disconnects on me.

It isn't a punkbuster problem, it just tells me that i've lost connection ... please help?

Hey Blehmn, I understand that because I've played many other PB enabled games such as americas army ... but the screens weren't taken with PB but by a clan member in another clan who was yelling at us calling us hackers because we were killing him.  I have multiple links and threads with all our information.  I am confident that my friend doesn't hack.  You can see the screens if you want.  I already know windows vista has a ton of security issues ... maybe someone stole his account info or something?  I don't know ... but I'm pretty sure he isn't hacking ... you are welcome to see the screens if you want.  I've showed them to some people who have knowledge about hacks and all that stuff and they said that was definately not one ... is this a story of a furious clanmate who got so mad he had to go out of his way to ban his opponent?

As for everyone else such as cowami and jamesy .. you guys have proven to be rediculously childish, non-helpful, and unresourceful.  Take your 4 year old posts somewhere else.  It would be nice to have a feature to ban smacktards like you from posting bs in my thread

well idk about getting banned from one server...i'm banned from many servers because people complain that i jump alot meanwhile EA already fixed this ... and from others because im just too good with the tv missle .. thats just from those servers though...no one likes playing on bs regulated servers anyway...but at the same time ..EA tech support still is horrible

hmm well i have screenshots if you'de like to see them, submitted by a clan member we embarassed infront of his own clan by owning him in a tank ... he apparently tried taking pb screenshots which are either messed up or edited which show no plausible advantage nor hack ... if you want to see them that is...

I just want to see what people think or if anyone else has had similar problems ... well hey man i wish i was hacking too but we got a ban and it's with no explanation ... not even on the ban id list that shows reasons ... take into consideration that there are also people who are in there who are not guilty and die in there because of someone elses mistakening

I know what PB bans for I've been playing games for quite a while but I never saw senseless crap like this ... It's rediculous that you accuse of hacks, glitches, etc... when I straight out told you that is not the case ... do you think if I hacked I would come on here and start a thread about it and show everyone that I hack? no ... I played long and fair like everyone else and it's not my fault that they can't work out the problems with their software ...

if I hacked or knew how to hack I wouldn't be complaining about it ... the screenshots are posted in the newest thread by "Pasha" ... I posted them somewhere on that page ... He wasn't banned for cheating or using an exploit of any type or whatnot .. he was banned because some people that we were owning were crying and got embarassed infront of all their clan members ... so they submitted a shot to punksbusted or something of the sort

Does anyone here have any opinion on my prior post of some screens I found ... hack or corrupt screens? ...... doesn't look like a hack to me

if you look at the minimaps at the locations in the maps .. you can clearly tell its not zoomed or anything and that there is a big black blob all over the screen blocking the view almost completely .... and if its a hack then why are they both not the same type of error?

hmm well here is what i've found that was a supposed no scope hack ... yes it would be to your advantage seeing outside the visible tank letterbox but it wasnt the case with these screenshots ...
