Errm? You heard of Punkbuster? I'm sure you've got to enable it to play on the servers. Ok, so everytime the hackers get busted, they've got to rework their codes, but still its a start. And cheating, liar, etc... Please do check out my stats, dude just type in my screen handle in the get stats box. I think you'll be able to deduce from my 1 shot per kill per round average that I have no idea what an aimbot is. Hence why only the really suckiest of players get owned by me (and accuse me of wall glitching, or change teams so they can find my claymores and punish the TKer).=A2G=@ DueceGoose wrote:

This is a great look at the type of people attracted to this community. I find it amazing. As you look at these quotes, you get the idea that almost everyone here condones cheating, glitching, hacking, and encourages others to learn how.
AMAZING. Maybe it is just me. But I find cheaters repulsive. Cheating is the same thing as stealing, and lying. And when you find the leadership here participating in, and condoning the behavior; it makes me wonder what kind of community is here, and how much fun would it be playing in your servers, and how reliable your stats are, and WHY IN THE WORLD would anyone except a cheater (liar, thief) be attracted to here.
Goose off soap box.

I know I said nuff said from me, but after a little digging I found out that hacks in general are becoming a cottage industry. One site had a nice little 'testimonial' from an allegedly happy customer along the lines of -eskimo_sammyjoe wrote:
No, that's crap, why should a player leave if the other person is hacking, that makes no sense at all. There is a reason that these hacks don't come as options with the retail version of BF2, so why should i spend all my time jumping from server to server because of hackers? A solution perhaps would be to have a server where hacking is allowed, so that way everyone knows where they stand and it isn't unfair to those who want a nice, clean game.
"It made me feel like the big man that I used to be in college, just owning everyone. $30 well spent. I'm going to recommend VIP membership to everyone."
Same site claimed to be the BEST hack of all because it was used in a tournement on an all hacks server (which you have to fork over your hard earned to see the unedited post with the name of this magical place).
So maybe hacks allowed servers exist, but they're definately not ranked, so only a handful of sadcases will play them; since the rest need all the pretty coloured things to go with their numbers...
Yeah, and 1/2 of them come straight to the Australian Army, the rest go to the Kiwis...groan... So save ya-self the trouble and become an Australian and enlist in our army. I was told by an ex-pommy that he was getting paid more as an Aussie Cpl than as a Brit Sgt, even with the exchange rateThe_Guardsman wrote:

I go for my barb test in march next year to see if I can get into AFC harrogate whioch i should easily pass as its just upper and lower body strength exercises and a 1.5 mile run to be done in under 11:30(its longer due to my age at that period in time.) .
Just kidding. Good luck to both of you, wenslydale8 for your achieving your aspirations, and the Guardsman for eating all the Cav guys' jack rations, rifling through (and stealing) our porn and generally leaving an unpleasent mess in the back of our nice, clean AFV's, then having the hide to bitch about the ride
Meh...As long as no-one from kidnap video does any public forum vandalisation (especially by means of homoerotica), then they've still got a long way to go before they hit that level of sad, pathetic bullying...Varegg wrote:

This just puts us in the same category that he is president of .......
Nope, he's a level 1337 Threadomancer, busy ressurecting every old post outside of BF2S with comments along the lines of "If you're from BF2S, you can go back and tell your fag friends how you saw the CdogMN and how he...(insert rambling sort of loosely connected to the original post)".Buckles wrote:

I cba to check what it was he said he was doing there, my version is funnier anyways.
I can has cdogmn's baybiez?
See Doctastrangelove's topic about him for links to one such post.
As if you care....
They are. But it's mainly for support (clerks, storemen, catereers) jobs. Sadly Red/Green CP will exclude a person from anything to do with vehicles, wires, flashing lights and buttons. It's a matter of not wanting the potential liability if that person has an incident.
And what of the other side of this 'coin', lame/dumbass players who use shout to all to accuse others of cheating? I just got accused of wall glitching on Karkand (sniping from that building that lets you cover the plaza and the suburb). Check my stats, if I'm owning your dumb ass, then you really, really, really suck. Point is if there's a way to cheat, someone's bound to try and exploit it. The only thing you can do as a legit player is sit back, crack a cold one, and wallow in the smug satisfaction that you know you really earned each point and every award... Nuff said from me
You're welcome to PM me. I'd be more than happy to offer any advice from my 7 years of service that can help you with your decision

Meh... Doesn't matter which one you go for, you'll still be starting at the bottom. If you go with the officer option, you won't really have responsibility until your 2nd year.
What you do want to do, if you go officer, is make damn sure you don't get on the wrong side of your Sargent; since he's the man with at least 10 years of experience that he's got to pass onto you in a very short period of time. Plus you'll have senior officers mentoring you as well...
If you go for the digger option, be aware that promotion isn't always guaranteed. If you don't fit your troop/platoon hierachy's idea of a NCO then your name wont get nominated for promotional courses.
The big thing that you should be thinking about, is what will you be doing in 4 years time. Especially if you find that you don't like the Army. At the end of your 4 years as a digger, if you join an arms corp (Infantry or Armoured), you're probablly not going to have any qualifications that are overly relevant to a civilian employer. If you join up as an officer, at the 4 year mark you'll still have another 2 years, but after that's over you'll get a diploma in management as a minimum (if after 6 years you haven't made Captain, you're doing something wrong).
As for what life's like in the Australian Army, it tends to vary from unit to unit. At the section level it's reasonably relaxed. Unless your hierachy are a total bunch of flogbags, the only times you'll be calling your Cpl by rank are when you march in, you've f*cked up or when the brass is around.

Now there's a thought for a linked thread to accompany this one... find something right in the game :>SamFisher199 wrote:

Would like to play some of the Euro Force maps online. Problem is there's none on the Australian ranked servers and only a few worldwide and I keep getting kicked for high ping on them Odd since the game arena (Aussie) ones are low ping only...
Never had a car drop on me, but I did have a commander drop one on the roof of the airport in Nightflight. Managed to use the .50cal to scare the enemy snipers in the bombed out helipad building for a couple of seconds 'til one of the buggers nailed me
Yep you're guaranteed kill. Problem is that it doesn't discriminate between enemy or friendly if you play FF off. Recoverable and command detonated would've been the way to go. Might've even better promoted the concept of the sniper pair. But after browsing through the forums, I'm left with the impression that no matter how you employ a claymore there will be someone who'll bitch about how it unbalances the gameplay. Unless of course it gets 'improved' so that it kills you and gives the points to those who you were trying to blow up in the first place...
Would've been nice to be able to recover your own claymores, rather than have to leave them for that one team member who assumes that the red skull means "Opportunity to Punish for TK". Other than that, like everyone else has said, don't take the obvious routes. Instead of charging straight down the guts, make the enemy work hard for those tickets.
Meh... I like Devil's Perch and Highway Tampa. Wouldn't mind seeing some of the booster pack maps (ranked) on the AU server.
What's wrong with the medics? Seems the last few games I've played everyone is a sniper, AT or chicken strangler (myself included )...
Man... You shot Ned Kelly!!! Either that or one of those dodgy sci-fi robots from the 50's or 60's...
Ahh the irony of it all Wish I had some karma to give
Have we had these two -
Even though Combat Body armour seems to able to stop a .50cal round, a knife will go through it, well... like a hot knife through warm butter.
When you're in a really good firing position the commander will reward you with a supply drop to your location so the previously unsuspecting enemy will converge on your position

The only time I've ever hit the punish button, one of the flyboys on my team decided to strafe the spawnpoint, which was completely deserted at the time. Anything else, apart from someone deliberatly killing me, I'll forgive. But I'm getting a little tired of getting punished by people who are too silly to realise that the red skull near the sniper is BAD juju...
