TK punishing is for one thing and one thing only. For deliberate tk'ing. Not because you found yourself in a bad situation and lept on someones claymore, not because your not paying attention to your warning icon that doesn't require you to be looking at the ground, and especially not because you turned your hud off for some strange reason.M1-Lightning wrote:
How about when I'm running from a tank and have no where to go except over your claymore?kranky wrote:
i think if some 1 runs over your claymore or mines u should get 2 punish them cos they know skull and bones might mean death even when i in a jeep and i see skull on the floor i will get out to look if they are c4 or mines and if i see a clymore go a dif way all fucking punish junkies
How about when I have my hud turned off because I can't see where I'm being shot from with all of the flags, med packs, ammo bags, and the enormous ranks above people's heads in my way?
How about when I jump over a low wall running from a low flying chopper and keeping my eye on him rather than the ground?
How about when I spawn on a squad leader who has stopped before hitting the claymore, yet I spawn too close to it?
Claymores are not intended to get you your ordiance badge. They are not intended to defend a flag. They are not intended to kill transport drivers that drive over it. They are not intended as a primary weapon whatsoever. For God's sake, claymores are to protect your ass when you are using your scope. THAT"S IT! If you leave your sniping area, toss a grenade at your claymores so a teammate doesn't hit it.
If I walk over your claymore, I will punish you. I do not walk near snipers and I always check the tops of ladders. If I hit your claymore it's because you used it in an improper manner in which it makes my game difficult.

there are a lot of things that could cause problems. When you installed the new drivers did you make sure you completely removed the old drivers? ATI has a program on their site that is supposed to clean out all remnents of their drivers for reinstalls and upgrades.
The only time the power supply will really effect your video is if the video card has an extra power plug. I'm not familier with that card so I can't say if it does. But if your running a 250W I would definitly suggest getting a better power supply, at least a 350W if not higher.
From my experience when you have game issues after installing a new video card it is sometimes best to reinstall the program. I don't know why but I've fixed a lot of problems with different games doing this.
Does the mother board have AGP 8X? I know that might sound like a silly question but you would be surprised what dell will toss into a case just to make some money hoping the buyer doesn't know better.
One last idea, double check the mother board bios and see if you can manually control the agp voltages. If you can you might concider doing some research and seeing what the requirements are. On some low end boards you had to tweak the voltage settings to get the newer ATI cards to work. At least I did with my 9700Pro.
Hope that helps or at leasts get you on the right track.

On the topic of bombing runs. Pilots need to learn what that round thing in the upper right of the screen is. Ya know, the mini map. I can't count the number of times I've been capturing a flag with UAV over head and no enemies in sight and sure enough..boom..some jet-tard drops a load on my head.
You have to take each tk in context. Don't go into the decision as "Can I find a reason to not punish them."
Punishments are for those slap-tards (Retards put on this earth for one thing..to slap) that tk for pleasure or equipment. Not those that happen in the heat of battle. But damn it use your minimap and start caring if you kill a team-mate.
I usually wont punish..but when I get bombed like that you can bet there will be a punish right behind it.

I've ran into video problems also with the last patch. Haven't noticed any slowdown but I do get weird rendering glitches, parts of the terrain black out for a split second and strange stuff like that. My brother cant even play multiplayer since the last patch, the map starts to load and then hangs. Works fine on single player tho.
I've seen quite a few servers running some sort of kick/ban for TK's. After so many punishments they are kicked and banned.
Lamest Punish I've ever suffered: Idiot crashed the chopper into the ground where I just happen to have a claymore. Of course I get charged with a tk and the twit punishes for it. How do you even try to do that on purpose. I mean killing a chopper with a claymore? Seems there should be a ribbon for that one.

I've said it before. I still think EA should make the CO be inside the COM trailer to open their COM screen.
I never thought I'd see someone complaining that the commander is doing their job.imdead wrote:
REally? I do that... when another squad or people are capping a flag to tell show them where the enemy is when the UAV is elsewhere. So it's not a good thing? I've heard different opinions about this what does everyone else think?BlaZiN.uk wrote:
I really hate it when the commander keeps saying stuff like " Enemy spotted " over and over again. It just grinds my gears
You've only got one UAV and the odds that every single enemy player are going to be in range every time are..well..thats just silly.
There is never just one location that fighting is happening and spotting enemies is the singular most important and under-used feature in BF2.
Personnally, I think commanders should only be able to use the com screen while inside the command trailer. You want to command? Then do it from the command trailer. What? But what happens when the com trailer gets destroyed? Sucks don't it.
On the topic of calling targets. That is my biggest peeve about players. For example, your flying the black hawk, there is no way for you to keep moving targets inside your gunners fireing pattern if you cant see them. Same goes with the two seater jets. Its so much easyer to dog fight when your co-pilot is calling the enemy fighter. They have a much wider field of view than the pilot and should always be on the lookout for enemy jets. You live longer.
