Warlord is much more fun for me. Of course, I would have gone with Mass D if it had been listed.

You are right on the money! I played this a good bit last night and I'm very impressed. It was a blast. The number of cool maps just blew me away. Many thanks for the POE Team for an awesome MOD.
Usually when you pick the best game ever, you feel like you have to go back in time to pick up those trail blazers. If so, I played Duke Nukem 3D a ton. Same for Quake 2. The best game of all time is a tie between Half-life 2, Battlefield 2 and Diablo 2. It's awesome when the developers go back and actually make a better sequel.
I don't have a problem with Trake jumping in armor all of the time (if he isn't TKing for them) since it just makes sense to jump in one if it is sitting there. The problem that I have is his reply to the OP. Talk a little less trash and play a few more maps. We've got some awesome players here on the forums since they are very "into" bf2 and this is the place to be. It seems like the ones with the most skill don't have to tell everyone how good they are since their stats speak for themselves.
For me, it took about 200 hours to hit 1.0. I started off playing medic a lot and was too much of a rambo trying to get revives (and dying way too much). My K/D was abysmal. As I started to wise up a little and also upgraded my machine a little, I started to dig myself out of the deep hole I had created. There's not doubt that armor helps the K/D though. Like others have said, try not to focus on just that. Try to improve your game, have fun and the K/D usually takes care of itself.

Playing on the Addicted-2-Gaming server, I got kicked because I realized their clan =a2g= was glitching in the 1st floor of the palace. The offical reason was excessive teamkilling, but that seemed lame since I hadn't teamkilled anyone and I had just let everyone else know through chat that they were in the wall. At least I had the relief of knowing where all those grenades, flashbangs and tear gas canisters were coming from (saw tear gas come through the wall). Boy, it only took them about 10 secs to kick me after my revelation.
After this many patches, I'm surprised that they are still around. Wait... I take that back. Given that there are some significant bugs that still haven't been fixed (red/blue bug anyone?), I guess some of them are just too tough for EA to find. You would think that at least a thorough check of all maps would be able to eliminate the wall glitches. I don't know how it is done either. BTW, there is a ban on posting info in the bf2s forums on how it is done. If someone wants to let you know, hopefully they will PM you.
I saw the palace hack for the first time last night. I was playing on the Addicted-2-Games server SF server. I kept noticing flash bangs, nade and smoke coming out of the first floor by the UAV trailer and just couldn't find the people. They had been there for 10 minutes spamming (and killing) us. The could also take the flag, so we were back there constantly trying to take it back. I finally saw the tear gas coming out of the wall. When I announced what I had seen to my teammates (we were all going crazy trying to figure it out), I got an admin kick (Admin Decision). I just can believe that such a popular clan would be using a glitch and kicking people that find out. I'll be sure to stay away from that clan and server. Of course, I'm sure that's not a problem for them. Is clan sponsored wall glitching accepted?
At 38 I should know better than to be playing BF2 at all hours of the night. On second thought, I've got to practice some time to be able to keep up with my sons.
It seems that it took 56 hours in theater before I got the MEC SF ribbon (US Seal ribbon came at 50). I don't think it is related to the time as the MECSF army (btw, I had 31.5 hours when I got the ribbon). Of course this could all be chalked up to wierdness on the part of the award system, but I'm just glad that I finally got the ribbon.
It sounds as though you've settled on the RAM (which I would agree with). I just wanted to let you know that I have that same graphics card and had graphics lag with 1 gig of memory. When I added an additional gig (for a total of 2), it cleared things up for me. I'm not saying that it is fantastic, but it made it good enough for me to wait on my next machine.
I think that what you suggest is pretty reasonable. Our clan has been discussing it and the 'by request only' seemed like the best idea we came up with for the problems mentioned. I would think that it would be difficult for a person to make the request with the pinpoint accuracy needed to hit a sniper. With the commander's hud, it's much easier to drop it on someones head.
I hope that someone at EA / Dice is listening.

I'm in the same situation as you. I have the Navy Seals ribbon, but not the MEC ribbon. From a thread in the forums (searching, but can't find it), you need to have around 60 hours in theater and 33 hours as MECSF. It is pretty weird if you as me. I figure I'll just keep on playing the periodically and see when I get it.

Hmm,on my account the Navy Seals service ribbon and the MEC special forces service ribbon fulfilled the requirements at the same time.
But I only received the Navy Seals ribbon and the MEC ribbon hasn't shown up,although I already played MEC special forces again....
Does anybody have a smartass answer for that?
Even though it is useful in some situations (being caught in the middle on nowhere like the water), it seems like a weird feature to add. I didn't know it was limited to 2 vehicles out at a time though. Seems like they were dropping like snowflakes last night when I was playing SF. Perhaps a limit of 1 vehicle out at a time would be better.
I did get to see a sniper taken out by a buggy. Pretty funny sight.

Thanks for the updates Chuy! Much appreciated.
BTW, I just hit the Sergent Major rank recently and when I got close it seemed like I played all the time trying to get that next rank. I'm surprised that we got these award updates with you so close. Congrats on the impending promotion. I think that's one of the toughest to get.

I really don't care for the way night combat is implemented. The night vision goggles are nerfed pretty bad. I realize why, but I just don't enjoy the night maps (hey, I don't like Zatar Wetlands either). The new weapons, etc. are pretty fun. The new day maps are great. Those two things alone make me glad that I purchased it. Hopefully, there will be a few tweaks in upcoming patches to make night combat more enjoyable, but I would give it two thumbs up.... just not way up.
37 and still able to keep up with my son (in video games at least)
Same here. You look around and most of the servers are close to empty. I suspect something on EA's side is goofed up.
Finally, I got the knife badge!!! It happened on Sharqi last night. I had followed the advice of SongOfWar as well and finally hit 7 (after getting 6 for 3 different rounds).
So far the two toughest badges to get have been the Engineer badge (repairs) and the knife badge. I was loosing my mind with the knife though. You K/D ratio just spirals when you focus on it.
Thanks for the tips.
