5 star was created for the command circumstances of WWII. Didn't need it after and the rank died with Bradley in 81'.

Exatly, now with a WWIII like in BF2 though there would probably be another 5 star genral created. I think that if they do create it it should require all expert badges in EVERYTHING, all medals and all ribbons and it is awarded to the player with the most points that month that has all of these reqirements(SF, EF, AF not included)Mike_J wrote:

they should have it where one person is 5 star General each month instead of the other one that they have

First of all there is only a 5 star general during war time.
And if there was a five star gen in bf2 it should be the person with the most time who should get it. because a 5 star gen is an adviser for the prez during war for his or hers branch of the military.

Right. 4 Star General is the only rank one can rise to. War Breaks out, someone becomes 5 star general. Peace time is reached, back to 4 star general

Wooo hooo. People who know something about the military for once. I am impressed and thanks for correcting the few who didnt know what the 5 star generals purpose and how he comes to be is. But even during a time of war now i honestly don't see the US making a 5star untill a MAJOR conflict occurs. When we fight North Korea i can see one come to be then.

It shouldn't be a five star general it should be a Feild Marshall!!! (go commonwealth ranks )
Commonwealth ranks might work for SF, but I think it might be insulting to them yanks.
