If you actually bothered to read you would have noted he ended up sitting down and talking with her. Why did he not do this in the first place? Shoot first and ask questions later...

I don't remember if I mentioned it or not but the daughter shouldn't owe him the $130 since he destroyed the laptop or the $7-8 for the bullets.

She does need so stop being a beach though.

This reminds me of that asshole who came on here about 6 months ago asking for the best key logger so he could spy on his kids.

I don't remember that one. I do remember the guy who key logged his girlfriend and broke into her facebook.

I thought some of the comments on the video were amusing Like 'I don't know why he had to use a gun to destroy the laptop, that just sends a message of violence' as if using a gun is any more violent than using a sledgehammer or the heel of his boot

Ill be glad when he has to buy her another laptop for college...

What would've been really funny was if she made the post from a friends cell phone.

I've threatened to ignite a pile of thermite on my step-daughter's computer a few times.
Mostly when she gets in one of her teenage can't be bothered to give a fuck about anything phases for more than a couple days.

Simple simple rules she sometimes has a hard time with;
Get passing grades in high school,
do the dinner dishes (after dinner),
take out the kitchen trash (every day),
keep her room from being a biohazard (i.e. no rotting food or ... whatever),
keep her PC from being a virus infested mess on our LAN (she apparently likes her Japanese anime porn... bleh!)
and keep her mess of a room from spilling out into the rest of the house.

Unfortunately, I think her PC has pissed her off one too many times.
She's hinted that she wants me to take her PC out and turn it into a pile of thermite slag.

However, at no time have either myself or my step-daughter felt the need to have a semi-public video hissy fit over the matter.

The biggest lessons she will take away from this is not to say shit about her parents that they will find out about and that her dad is an arsehole (her perception, not mine).

As stated in a number of things, she had done similar things a few times before and gotten grounded, but blew it off... She wasn't blowing this off.

Also, it prompted a long talk between the two of them, and I understand that I only hear one side of it, but it legitimately sounds like they were getting along by the end of it, and she was accepting her punishment and hopefully trying to adjust her behavior.

I just think that he should've taken the angle of talking first, taken away any/all privileges second, and then enforced punishment third.

He doesn't sound like he's a bad guy, I just disagree with the process and methods.

So he's an IT guy. I wonder if he breaks open her diary to spy on it as well.
