It's pretty much a pay to win game. Matchmaking was also fuked up last time I played. It might be fun playing with some buddies, but meh...FatherTed wrote:

It kept popping up in the main steam menu, WTF is that?Macbeth wrote:
I know a $1 isn't a lot of money but doesn't this seem pretty ridiculous? They are selling people stuff that sites like bf2s would give away for free back in the day. That wouldn't be so bad if third party sites weren't getting wiped out by official game forums and big sites like reddit. I know they are trying to make a buck and all but this kinda goes further then your typical greed.
I wouldn't mind paying for new occasional stuff but when companies decide to do what they plan to do with the next Twisted Metal it gets aggravating. (The next Twisted Metal is going to released with only a few playable characters from the start. Never mind the fact that the bench of characters from the TM series is really deep. They are obviously going to sell character packs a short while after release I'm sure.)
I'm usually pretty zen about a lot of things when it comes to gaming but this is getting pretty bad.
PC Gamer mags are actually about $5 to $8 dollars, I think. They were worth it back in the day for the demos on floppy/disc.Macbeth wrote:

I have a huge stash somewhere of pc gamer magazines from back when I was 10. They were so awesome until faster-than-dial-up internet came about.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

What have they been adding to it? Anything noteworthy?Macbeth wrote:
Decided to replay HL2. It's still a great game. It's also pretty cool that Valve is still updating/adding things to it.
I didn't. I guess there was a three-page thread with a last post from two years ago that someone pointed out. It was in the EE section.RTHKI wrote:
who deleted the ultimate game
In 2010 they updated HL2 and Ep1 to the Episode 2 engine and added achievements to them both. That's all. Gives you cool 3d shadows though from your flashlight.heggs wrote:
