Actually, there's and extra flag on the west side of the river - Market - that's not in the 64p sized map in BF2. Also, two flags are missing: Factory and Cement factory. Gatehouse is where it should be, Warehouse has been moved down to where CF was and the area where Warehouse and Factory sat in BF2 is redzoned. Really, all it is is the 32p sized map with an extra flag south of Gatehouse. Pity, I was looking forward to seeing the docks/crane/smokestack area frostbite 2.0'd up and put to use.Spidery_Yoda wrote:

I don't really mind though, the factory was really out of the way. I'm just happy they're releasing big maps.
It seems to me that DICE is looking to make the fighting in the maps more close-quarters then it was in BF2. The more open areas of Kark have been removed, Oman has more built up areas and Sharqi has an extra flag to help bridge the gap between TV Station and the rest of the map.

Well I've figured out how to use MAV to mow down people, once you get the controls right it's majestic. Plus people on PS3 are retarded and pay no attention to it.

Ahh so you are playing on console. How's the MAV handle compared to the EOD? I know they're different vehicles completely but is it just as absolutely sh!t to try to drive? Or maybe the EOD isn't bad on PS3 either.The A W S M F O X wrote:

If C4 tossing were allowed it would be way OP and too far into the Call of Duty zone which we want less of.
I got 4 C4 kills on infantry tonight and very many anti-vehicle kills with it, so I won't complain. Sure throwing it would be easier, but it's just utter COD crap if it were implemented.

C4 tossing isnĀ“t cod crap, its genuine Bf crap. I miss it dearly. You could pop snipers so earily with it.
I don't remember C4 being thrown very far in BF2 or BF2142. It was usually about 3 feet as opposed to the current 1ft.

I think originally it could go quite far, but it got nerfed a bit in BF2 and I think C4 in BF3 must weight about 40 lbs based on how far my soldier can throw drop fumble it.

I'm not asking it to be like the hail mary throws from BF2. But as it is now you pretty much need to dry hump the vehicle to get it on there.

And in real life a jet doesn't need to choose between an air to ground payload or a air to air payload, it can have both. Games need balance, they don't need to mimic real life.
