BF2S Forums Why Command and Conquer for the PC was so successful

I'm this close from writing a guide to that game or AOE3. Don't tempt me, man.
Since this is now pretty much a C and C discussion thread, China Nukes was my favorite army. Second was US Air Forces.

Heck yeah, CnC was awesome before EA ruined it with the crap that was 4.

I liked China tank because of BATTLEMASTER TANK RUSH HORDE. Though every time I think of generals all I can think of is the first few episodes of purepwnage. China inf .. is for noobs! I'm grinning about it now, haha

Before that the first C&C I played was Red Alert 2, which was fun. The Desolator was supreme

I rock up and he was sitting at his 486 constantly ejecting the CD with "please insert the Allied disc" popping up.

"What are you doing?", I asked.

"Playing Red Alert".

Loved the Commando in Tiberian Dawn, and how the computers would curse right back at you in LAN play.

I remember in 4th grade my friend had that game on his computer. But more importantly, he had two computers in his household (something extremely rare at the time as I don't remember any of my other friends having multiple computers, if any at all.... or maybe it's because I'm poor and associate with poor people ).

That was the very first LAN right there, folks. We'd each sit in a corner of the map building up our armies, and then after about 30 minutes, completely unleash everything.

Oh those were the days...

You know what's sad though, is that I never played that game

It's just that when I was lanning BF2 with some friends they'd also hop on CnC a little bit. And all I would is hear is that shit.
And then being the people that we were, would say that shit all the time.

I also remember us talking like BF2 commander secretary sometimes "Sherry busted her hymen in the doomp eye ah"
