Something I can add to my resume. Some of you may know that I have a history in the delivery industry. So for the holidays I decided to pick up some extra cash working at Fedex. Today was the first day I was out on my own since leaving UPS, but it was a familiar area. I was making a delivery in a not too bad area at about 7:30 (soho district). I was driving one of their vans and sorting the packages in the back getting ready for the last rounds of stops. I went back to the front to get some delivery notices. When I took a step back and pivoted I hear someone say, and I quote "Get your bitch ass on the ground." He had a ski mask on and had a handgun almost touching my head. He said go to the back of the van and lay down. He told me to get my wallet out and asked where the keys were ... then I noticed another man looking in the cab of the van. I told him the keys were in the van, but honestly I could not remember excatly where the were at that moment. I just wanted them gone. I couldn't get a make on on his buddy and tbh I didn't want to. He said again, "go on get your wallet out". I was feeling in my pockets for it, then I hear the van start and another (innocent) car pull up (actually visiting the house I was delivering to). The guy with the gun jumps in the passenger side of the van and takes off.
The guy that pulled up was completely oblivious to the fact he was driving up to an armed robbery (kinda understandable). I said holy shit, they just robbed me at a gunpoint. Then he started piecing it together. I'm glad he pulled up. The armed guy was getting anxious for my wallet, my phone was ringing too.
Holy hell what a night. So many emotions. You don't know who is behind the gun. Fear, nervousness, and anger. Two grown men sneaking up behind me at night with a gun and I'm the bitch ass. Thanks for the therapy bf2s.
