I'm extremely arrogant, yep. No denying that. But I've earned it.
According to you.

Sounds like most Republicans TBH
- We are awesome because we say so. Uh wait a BLACK guy just got elected? Iraq DOESN'T have WMDs? Are we STILL winning in Afghanistan?

Kind of reinforces the point that they are mostly ignorant illiterate self-interested blowhards living in their own little world, as mentioned in the OP.

Let me rephrase.  What I meant is that most Southern Democrats are Blue Dogs.  That doesn't mean that only Southern Democrats can be Blue Dogs though.

In its modern usage, this term has come to describe moderate Democrats overall.

The trolls got to me :p There's just so much ignorance and stupidity on display in threads by people like Dilbert that it's really hard to convince myself that I'm not wasting my time by writing longer, more thought out posts that will just be dismissed. I've enjoyed my debates with you but the rest of them act like 12 year olds.

This from a party who once selected Dukakis.... please...most of them (both sides) are corrupt, power hungry hypocrites.  A few good ones come through and that's why I still vote.

Can we all agree that there are psycho extremists on both side of the aisles? Can we also agree that ALL, and I mean ALL, successful, big name politicians are SCUM?

My problem with the Right in the current state...is that they are misdirected. They've been persuaded by the Glen Becks and Limbaughs that they will be boinked in the ass by Obama. It's just unfortunate that reality is known to have a liberal bias =/

The UK is really no different. Two major parties, a handful of bit players.
Not so much, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th parties do often control the balance of power, and sometimes 1st or 2nd swap places with 3rd.
In the US 3rd has never been worth more than a sneeze.
When has the PM been anything other than Labour or Conservative in the past 150 or so years?

In 200 odd years you've effectively had two parties. It IS the system.
It is not the system. It is the ideology of the other parties. They do not appeal to mainstream America, thus they are marginalized by the population, not the system.

Poor judgment in selecting a running mate does not equate to fringe elements being majorities.

Discussed already, either they thought they were being smart or the GOP really had no clue.
You think the GOP are incompetent, I think they were playing to the stalls.
They lost, who cares, hopefully the US can make progress now.
