You'll have to cut the heatpipe.

I'm water cooling with the same board. The stock heatsink is perfectly fine even at high FSBs (~600) and without any real airflow. Adding a block will only add resistance to your loop.

really, thats good to hear, maybe I'll start off with out the block and see how it runs. it does tend to bend the tubes a bit much trying to route them to the cpu-chipset-vga, And I've been trying to think of the best way to do it to avoid kinking. Leaving it out could be the best option.

You'll want to install a clean Vista without Lenovo crap on it. It's harder connecting to internet with their utility than just the normal one. They also have tons of services that you'll never use starting up every time you turn on the laptop, so get rid of it quickly.
