Yup and we give these idiotic laws its just due. We laugh at it. Kinda hard to laugh at what Islam allows as legal, for me anyway, how about you?
I haven't gone through the entire US constitution but I'm sure something horrid could be found there also ... it's your fascination with Muslims and misinterpretations of their traditions and laws that makes me smile ...
What percentage of a free person does a slave count as in the US?

Why haven't they amended that bit out yet, I can't see why anyone would object to removing that line?

I sure hope there are people out there that can see what this guy lowing is setting up here is pure bs.
I also hope that people will look around and observe how many muslim men married to an 8 years old child, or how many muslim fathers will allow his child to get married at that young age.

I am not setting up anything, I didn't write the article, and I am not the one interpreting Islamic law, Muslimleaders are doing that. Do not rag my ass because you can not defend their actions, or are ashamed of them.

You are correct, I have no first hand knowledge of Islam. Does this mean I can not form an opinion based on what I have read on Islam, what is reported on Islam, and what is done in the name of Islam? Are you actually saying I have to be a Muslim in order to have an opinion on Islam?

I have no first hand knowledge of child molestation either, because of this, based on your criteria, I am not allowed an opinion on the practice?

Actually that is exactly what you posted, and no, I rarely get "irate" about anything in my posts. I do not even get "irate", or retaliate, when I am personally attacked by all of you open minded, peace loving, tolerant people.

Me personally as a Sunni believe that other branches of Islam are not true and whom belongs to them is on the wrong way. Wahabis are total extremists. Otto - lowing doesn't understand that 1400 years ago it was perfectly acceptable among people of all faiths to engage in carnal relations with females that had begun menstruating and that the world was a violent place where people had to fight to ensure their survival and security. He can't divorce these elements of the reality of the times from the peaceful preachings that you are probably intimately aware of. Please don't take offence. He is only interested in forcing his interpretation of the Quran on you, or those sections of which turn up in a Google search of 'Quran Molest Kill'. To both of you,

I am not interpreting anything. Islam's highests Imam's and Sharia Law experts ( people far more knowledgeable on Islam than I)  have determained right and wrong for the 21st century, and child slavery/molestaton is considered OFFICIALLY amongst the right. Regardless if some Muslims agree with it or not, the religion has spoken and the practice is acceptable.

Secular Turkey? Or is it just backwards-ass countries like Saudi Arabia that have decided to interpret ancient books a certain way without taking into account modern day attitudes?

Whether you like it or not, and whether these other countries have Shariah law or not, they are still Muslim countries and the Muslims that inhabit these countries and the way in which they live their lives have as much to with Islam as the archaic bloodlust contained in the ancient texts that you always seem so preoccupied with.

Qft. A History of Honor (good book with some interesting perspectives on things) points this out at the very start when discussing Islam.


Islam got attached to the primitive honor cultures of the various tribes in the middle East/central Asia, not the other way around.

Btw lowing, a few years back there a woman got gang raped by the local tribal elders in regional Pakistan to punish her brother for supposedly raping another woman. The true story was that the brother, a fairly young boy, got gang raped, threatened to expose it, so they accused him of raping one of the rapist's sisters. End result was that the girl got raped as a punishment to the young boy for supposedly violating the honour of another woman.

When the sentence was passed down by the elders, just before they committed the rather disgusting act, she invoked the Qur'an and asked them to stop. They continued. When the story was publicised the local Imam got involved. He ended up presiding over a Sharia court dealing with the rapists.


They were all sentenced to death for breaking Islamic Holy Law. After two appeals in Pakistani courts the sentence was upheld and the rapists were executed. The girl went from considering suicide due to dishonour and shame she felt over the incident to ending up happily married and a bit of a local celebrity for speaking out about the injustice she faced.
