I meant your reminder that "Hey I'm jewish". Your constant defense of Islam is what I was talking about. Are you seriously going to try and deny that?sergeriver wrote:
No, you just suggested that I wasn't half Jewish. My bloodline is my heritage and I demand you respect it. Regardless of that, I don't support what Israel does to Palestine. I'm still half Jew. You don't apply the same rules to people bashing any Religion than those who bash Islam. Simple as that.Kmarion wrote:
Your bloodline has jack shit to do with the opinions you post. Are you seriously trying to tell the veterans members that your view here is slanted? Your "what do I have to win" comment suggested that. Get real Serge, I'm not that naive.sergeriver wrote:
Wtf are you talking about? I don't claim to be half Jew, I am. I'm half Jew, and I still think the government of Israel (a 60 years old state, not a Religion with thousands of years of history) is wrong. You are totally confused. And if you don't think I'm half Jew ask konfusion, he knows my last name. I'll try to forget what you implied before.
I respect your right to share your view. But unearned respect is not the same as earned.
Btw, congratulations. You are the first person to tell me my moderation is biased.

I feel the same way than when I wrote it. I never said Christianity was a disease, I just said the priest talked a lot of BS.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

I defend the underdog team. I don't know any Muslims IRL, but I feel the generalization made here is completely outrageous. I'm still half Jew, but I can notice the blatant bashing against that Religion. And regarding you fair moderation, prove me wrong. You guys never close a thread against Islam.Kmarion wrote:

After some blah blah I couldn't stand all that BS, I told my wife I had to go to the bathroom and went to the local McDonald's and had a coke. I returned to the church when the ceremony was over.
If you want Jesus to love you, you must love him first? Does Jesus work that way? Is this a Catholic BS or do all Christians believe this? Where is the disclaimer, Jesus' love subject to change?
As a person of catholic upbringing I am offended and I DEMAND you respect my heritage.

You closed it because it became a flame fest, not because of the subject matter or some of the slightly over the top statements made by our good pal Davey. At least I assume so, because it was left open for long enough after that happened. I don't know if anyone was online at the time of course, so it's hard to say, but that's just how it looks.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

We try to keep threads open for as long as there is reasonable debate, we get whined at for being biased. We close topics to nip them in the butt, people complain about lack of free speech. I can't tell you the shocking number of people that have actually tried to tell me the U.S. Bill of Rights protects their right to free speech on these forums. I can't count them on two hands.
damned if we do, damned if we don't

I now constitute "you guys". For someone who tells us that we should pay attention to the individual you sure seem content on placing me into a group. Show me a thread I closed for the simple reason it was anti-Christian.sergeriver wrote:

I first saw it when it was less than one of my pages (50 posts per page). I watched about 2/3s of the video, decided it was as well of a put together argument as anything on these forums, and didn't see it again until I saw it through the reports. Even if a mod did change the title, that doesn't mean they had the time to sit down and read what direction the posts were going.ghettoperson wrote:

I tell you more people have spent over 30 seconds how terrible a decision it was to leave that thread open than the people who took 5 seconds to report it last night.
