[Help] Dell Dimension 2400 upgrade

Ok, guys...

My colleague at work is selling a Dell Dimension 4600 complete with peripherals for cheap.
I'm using a laptop and want a desktop cheap. All good so far.

I can upgrade to 2gb ram and 400gb HDD at no cost. Even better.
My problem is - onboard gfx. I have a couple of AGP cards I can use, but my question is this:

Does the MoBo have a spare slot for a gfx card, and does it support AGP?

There's a whole spiel about spare slots on that specs page but I can't make head nor tails of it.

Just to head off any non-constructive - I don't need great specs, I can't afford to self build and I don't care about upgradeability further than stated above. This is merely a stop-gap rig.

Yes you have the slot but no you don't have the power. You're gonna need to replace PSU and that can be a bitch with a Dell.

Define "Need". I think the gfx card I have is a Radeon 9600 series, so old-ish

i wouldn't recommend getting that card.last one i bought from HIS was dead in 3 months,and looking around newegg i saw a lot of other people had the same problem.find a different manufacturer.

That's not "old-ish". It's ancient. Can-barely-run-BF2-ancient.

You do realize AGP 8x has the same bandwidth as PCI-E 4x? If you do, you also realize that that card needs more to work as well as it can.

I always ran BF2 in it on Medium settings with 1024x768 with framerate in mid 30s. No problems.

OK, it turns out that the person I bought the rig off cocked up. It's not a Dimension 4600 as they thought but a 2400. Now, this isn't my friends fault because she knows fuck all about computers, so it was a genuine mistake. Anyways, I found this out when I went to put my AGP card in and discovered that there are only 3 PCI slots, not 2 PCI and 1 AGP as a 4600 would have.

So instead of my 9600, I've had to put (and get this) a Matrox Millennium G200 2D accelerator in instead for a while. However, this is NO good for 3D gaming whatsoever.

So my new question is this:
1) Can someone with an equivalent Dell motherboard with an AGP slot send me their board if it's spare or in a pile of parts?
2) Can someone suggest a cheap equivalent motherboard that will fit and support an AGP graphics card.

I only ask because my tech knowledge is literally only as good as knowing about what I have in front of me as I play with it and see what it does. Otherwise I have no idea.

It's a standard mATX board, so almost any socket 478 mATX board should fit. However, they're not produced anymore, so you'll have to look around second-hand. Check eBay, etc.

See that big brown slot? That's the AGP slot. That seems like an awfully good deal, if the lot works, that is.

Ah, I see now. I thought it would be the same as the PCI slots but just further back. Fantastic, bidding now.
