... when he did the big mass at Nationals Park in Washington (he had some Jesuit friends who got him a couple of passes on the "floor", outside aisle and shook hands as the Pope went by).

Which got me to thinking ...

(a) Is it proper to shake the hand of the Pope? I mean, aren't you supposed to kiss his ring or something?
(b) Why is the Pope shaking hands at a Mass?
(c) Isn't this a security issue?
(d) Why don't I ever meet famous people?

Me neither and although I don´t technically believe in god, I think there might be a small chance you get a "bonus" for the afterlife or whatever after you made contact with the pope, him being God´s advocate kinda.
