Going to see JMT, Visionaries, Heiroglyphics, Living Legends, Dilated Peoples and a few more 3/22. Should be the shit. I've seen all these groups numerous times, even met Vinnie Paz and Immortal Technique at Rock the Bells last August. If my friend ever sends me the fucking pictures from his camera I can post 'em up.
<3 Visionaries + DJ Rhettmatic.

Yeah, you should post em, I'd like to see. Did you talk to Paz and Tech, or just meet them? If you talked to them, I can imagine the conversation with Vinnie went along the lines of "I'm Vinnie Paz daddy!"KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Immortal was angry or something. He didn't really talk much - I think he was pissed at being part of a huge production. He never comes out here though. The best part was when he walked in with Chino XL and my brother said, "Hey, it's Sean Paul. Haha. Vinnie was cool as hell. Signed a bunch of shit for us, we talked to him for a good 15 minutes. He was a really cool dude.Home wrote:

I'm relieved UK "hip-hop" / grime / rap hasn't been mentioned too much.

Yes to all of those. But only old Mobb Deep (eg, The Infamous - not their G-Unit shit.)DefCon-17 wrote:

Oh c'mon, don't start shit with IT! If you've listened to him you would realize that he is always angry because he always has something to be angry about. So do many other rappers, but it's just not their style to focus on that in their songs.DeCon-17 wrote:

And anyone else listen to The Coup? To be honest, I hadn't heard of them until less than a year ago. One of the most underrated hip hop acts ever, I'd say.
