Ive only seen one gold AK in play, and that would be mine...
With a red dot sight + steady aim perk it is actually pretty effective.
It has a pretty good iron sight imo, and I think with its accuracy and range its a better fit for a silencer then most.
But I don't really like it out side the class I have with silenced AK + 3x flash + UAV jammer + dead silence (this class is really good though)

yeah that one of my fav guns, silence and such on it
ak is me favourite weapon, i got bandolier, double tap, and steady aim i think on it with no attachment xD, otherwords its good if you can use it
AK-47?! Are you kidding? I find it pretty great, although my accuracy has paid a price due to my spraying with it...
I use a GL, Stopping Power and Deep Impact because I've just gone into Prestige Mode, but the AK is very powerful

The AK is a good gun, I only just started using it after playing a lot with other guns, never realized this one is a good killer.
it seems fine. the only bad gun is the skorpion because its like shooting airsoft past 10 meters, the first shotgun you get is also like this. the mp5 and uzi are ownage tho. id personally take the AK over the M16 because i like that full auto goodness. I'd also take it over the G36C because thats sort of a weak spray weapon that runs through ammo too fast. The M4 is just more precise and therefore effective as far as i can tell, they more or less followed a lot of the weapon rules set forth by counterstrike. At the moment, I'm liking the M14 best tho, steady aim and stopping power make it pretty powerful.
The AK is the second best assault rifle after the M4.
At close range, it rapes face, and at long range, just shoot in two shot bursts and they're down quickly.

the advantage of the G36c is that if you shoot it in 2-3 round bursts it has absolutely no recoil, so it works for really long shots

The AK has great medium range and stopping power! I wouldnt go sniping with it, but then again the maps are so small, you dont need to engage people at long range.

i like to use it with a silencer every now in then..dont play COD4 much anymore been on PR

Id Rather be stuck with the Ak as the only rifle then to even have to do the Mp44 challenges once. Ak is better then the MP44 by alot, best rifle? No. Decent? Yes.
its very powerful, and extremely accurate in the right hands, so yes, there is a use for it.
with the silencer, its a killing machine, since you'll usually get the first shot.

Loved it before I got my M4
I like it alot. Pretty good iron site, good range, and powerful. Plus you can hook up the noob tube, which is a bonus
Ive been using to finish all the challenges, i completed the first few and didnt mind if it has red dot, its a nice CQC weapon, although i prefer M16 or G36C TBF.
