Answer to the teen pregnancy and to the "I don't have a daddy" syndrome consuming our country.
MY LAW
1. If a person under the age of 18 gets a female pregnant he should be forced to marry the woman until the child is at least 5 or the youngest person in the couple turns 23, whichever comes first.
*1a. No divorce allowed. Any separation of the couple will result in a jail time that lasts the duration of the preceding contract for the person who leaves.
2. If the man in question gets another woman pregnant during the time of the contract, that man must also marry the second female and support both families. Vice versa for the female.
*2a. If a female marries more than 3 men, she will be sent to an all female prison for the remainder of the newest contract.
3. If the man cannot afford to support his family(s), he must work for the goverment doing community service or public projects at a fixed rate 6 days a week for the remainder of the contract. If he does not, he will go to jail for the remainder of the contract.
4. Females will have the option of either:
*Supporting the children.
*Sending the children to a day care at her own expense and working 6 days a week until the end of the contract.
Moral of the law: Keep it in your pants or face the consequences of being a parent.
Results: Lower teen pregnancy, lower single parent situations and lower crime rates in the future.
I honestly believe that the more children that have good parents (BOTH PARENTS) and that have the oppurtunity of a family with a stable income will grow up to be less involved with drugs/crime/teen pregnancy etc etc. Children need their parents to teach them right from wrong and the best way for children to learn this from their parents is to either a) have parents that were smart enough to not make this mistake themselves or b) have parents that did make this mistake and can relate the consequences to their children personally.
Discuss. Good idea, bad idea?
