I came in on the end of Oman hoping I'd play it, but then got stuck with Kubra (Shutters) damn I hate that map. I am not a chopper or jet expert. So it is impossible for me to get around without dying

Hey, so does anyone know for sure is VOIP down on the server? Ive never heard anyone use it...
I'm really not a fan of team speak, or rather I don't understand why everyone always wants to use one convoluted radio channel with people from the other team on it when BF2 comes with such a nice voip system.

it was working for one round a week or so ago when no regulars but me were on.

TBH I never actually tested....Since Ive never heard anyone say anything my mic has always been *over there* and I never even tried.

I too was curious as to why the VOIP did not work. I remember talking constantly to OrangeHound once and then after no response I typed "Can you hear me?" I was talking to myself the whole game just about.

I've submitted a trouble ticket ... it really hasn't worked since they switched servers on us. I wonder if the VOIP settings are obsolete after the change.

It started out as a practice session for Undetected_Killer, who wanted to work on dogfighting. So me and him dogfought a bit, till simminator came along. Eventually, we got a game going, much to Undetected's chagrin. Soon enough, the entire MEC was pushed into one little base, being carpet bombed every 30 seconds, hit by SRAWs every minute and a half, and getting TVed every 5 minutes. Me, san4, and simminator kept trying to push out, and (once we got our fighter and bomber back, 2 hours later) won the round.
Go figure.
