whats with the white line at the edge?
For both of you, I have a tip. I used to be a Gimp user, I loaded it up with a ton of plug-ins and stuff, and I thought it was just as good as PS. It's not. My advice to you is to at least give PS a try, it takes some getting used to, but it's a lot better.
I beg to differ homeschtar, I'll find a GIMP user I know's work. Ill have to find it though.. lol

Gimp is great, I made my sig , and have no experience with any graphic software, so yeah its great.

Made my sig in GIMP as well. I'd buy PS but it's way too expensive.
Entertayner, I agree that it is very cool that people took the time to make a free graphics program that has much higher end capabilities than the average free program. And yes, some people can make stuff that is just as good as PS art. However, PS is better in many different ways. Even just cutting out an object in PS is superior to the Gimp's cutting tools. Of course, it's because Gimp is free, but no matter how you put it Gimp can't be as good as PS simply because of that. Gimp users have a lot more obstacles to overcome than PS users do because of less availability of brushes, less advanced tools, etc. So if you can make art that is just as good as PS art with Gimp, good for you.
Highlander, i have the white line problem all the time, the two ways to fix it is A), download the version with the white line, and crop it, or B) Find the old file and add a border, Scriptfu>>Decorations>>Borders I find 4 pixels is a good size

nah mates, the way you do it, is to get your laptop free off of the head designer at Nissan. then you get loads of awesome programs, such as PS CS2 free, and a laptop

Gaming rig is under construction, I never use the laptop, so my old chatting rig is the one I use atm.
