OK, so I have been granted up to 60 USD for a new mouse and I need a new one from my old Dell... which is 400 DPI. I need at least 1600 and at least 3 mouse buttons.

The 3 click mouse button thats on the A4tech is a must. It must have that or something similar.

On the fly changing DPI means nothing to me, so I dont care if thats there... but if it is im good.

Here is what Ive heard:

A4Tech: Best mouse evar. But its sold out everwhere. 3 click button, 2500DPI, etc.

G5: Reliable, nice mouse.

Razer: Heard some bad things... but would like to hear some real reviews not just newegg.

OK guys, links from newegg.. since thats the only place i can buy from kthx

I for one am extremely happy with my mx518, it is very ergonomic, the drivers are really user friendly, and it has all the dpi settings you could need, and most important for me it has two thumb buttons. To those out there who say 1600 dpi is so little, let me ask you this -- how often do you actually use anything over 1600 dpi, it's so sensitive it is ridiculous and to me  spending the extra twenty dollars just so I could say "my mouse has (insert dpi here)" is stupid because I would never use it.

All what Silentscout said, and an experiment I saw done that showed out of something like 20 mice including those above, the MX500 had the best response rate followed by MX518, way over g5 and razers.

I also recommend the MX518.

Best mouse I've ever had.

Also, the first mouse I got had a bad scroll wheel. I called Logitech and they sent me out a brand new one and didn't even want the other one back. I had it in less than a week. I was really impressed with their service on the RMA.

The other mouse was perfect except for the scroll, so I gave it to my brother. He loves it too!

your search returned no hits. but im just curious, even though your search failed, was the "other" thread as customized as mine? i mean, did they mention that there must be themb buttons, or over 800DPI? if they did, then im sorry, until then, make sure your search works.

Eh..

Well then, search "razer vs g5" and you'll find like 603506 topics about "which mouse is better?"

Just thought it might help you choose between the G5 and the Razer.

Personally, I like my G5. I haven't tried any other gaming mice though, and don't plan to because the G5 is the best mouse I've ever used.

Probably the Logitech G5, I say probably because it's the mouse I own. However, I originally was going to buy the MX518 but it happened to be out of stock at the time and bought the G5 instead. (I have never used the weights in the G5)
