I was wondering what everyone thinks about smoking. Is it bad, is it ok, who cares if you smoke or not? I think smoking is bad because you can get lung cancer, yellow teeth, strokes, heart attacks, smoking is jsut gross in my opinion.

Its an addiction reaper. The majority of smokers don't want to hey just have to. I smoked for six years. Liked it when i started because i thought it was cool. Towards the end i really hated myself for it.
I guess that's why peopel do it. Peer pressure maybe =\.

there is not a single benefit of smoking....i took a couple puffs of a cigarrette, and a cigar; the cigar was 20x better than the cigarrette, and it was still pretty bad.

I used to smoke, I quit about 6 years ago! It was tough, but now I have no desire to smoke, thank god!!
after I quit smoking I continued to "chew" (copenhagen fine cut to be exact) and that was completely harder to quit than smoking ever was!!!
Now I dont do either, I feel healthier and look forward to hopefully being cancer free as a result of me quitting all that bullshit!

However, Ive done £3k in the last few weeks just to do with signs for the New No Smoking laws due in Wales (april 2nd) and England (July 1st) so from a business point of view, no it's good.

On a solely medical basis, smoking severely damages the mucociliary process in your windpipe. I.e. all the bad germs, dust etc. builds up in your windpipe, as the usual filters hairs (cilia) stop working.

I know its bad, but I smoke anyways. Addiction, not stupidity. Cigarettes helped calm me when I was in the military and needed them, now that I am out, I can't quit. Ironic.

Of course smoking is bad. I see absolutely no reason for people to want to, other than because other people do. Damages their bodies, and pollutes the air around them.
